Then again... New people who say they are leaving for awhile might take getting banned as a negative message, which, in this case, isn't exactly true... And they won't feel welcome here, so they'll leave forever, maybe.
That can be good or bad, I guess...
Put the reasoning in big red letters at the top of the arrivals/departures section.

If they don't read that, tough luck.

That works.
This is still a good idea, but something about it feels unnecessary.
Is it just me?

...Yeah. Point taken.

So when can we expect to see this come into play? Only idiots would oppose it.

EDIT: Is Zhane banned?

But wait. If you need some "time off", you're obviously not gonna come back until your time is off... So why would you have to be banned...
The "I'm leaving forever" permaban is a good idea though.

That^ and anything else he said.
If they keep coming back and going away, damn them then, just turn the departures sections' post counter off and ban for spamming.

I vote yes, cause although I've hardly been here, I don't really see why not. If they say they're leaving, then they won't be needing to come here.

That's a lot of yes votes, if they're leaving why not just let them leave and be done with it? It's kind of cruel to say you can never come back, especially if they're leaving for a reason they can't control.

I understand you haven't really been enabled to check that section as of late, Cleod, but these threads are far too common for this to simply be left alone. Personally I am inclined to think that adding departures to the list of threads that section serves was a bad idea in the first place, and although they are better contained there rather then other; why have them at all?

But you see we used to just have the "Arrivals" section, so to me it sounds like you guys are saying to take off the "Departures" aspect which would make much more sense and probably help with the problem a lot

I support any biggoted rule Hakker want to impose over this forums, because those things usually lead to hilarity.

Also, if this is implied between certain boundries, the idea is actually good.
