OOC: Oh god, you people reply too quickly.
IC:
Lenard found himself crowded with many people, pushing and shoving to the young lad, wearing the ridiculous sign. All of a sudden, the young boy shouted for them to follow him and immediately hopped off the bench. Lenard immediately started following him, relieved that he had found his key to a ship. As he followed the boy, he started noticing things around him, now that his mind was no longer assaulted with reminders of his goal to find a ship. Glancing around, and staring at the colorful, heavily laden shops, he was then sorely tempted to purchase many trinkets. After tearing his gaze from the assorted goods, he bent to look at what little money remained of his wallet. Apparently, Lenard severely underestimated how much money he had in his wallet. Empty. The word echoed in his head, mocking him. Immediately he looked for the little boy, the one who was supposed to be parading this crowd. He then saw the boy, his sign leaving him to be less noticeable. The boy seemed to pause, and look back to see anyone behind him. This seemed like a good time to ask a question, despite his comment to give the questions to the capt'n, or so he was called.
"We're getting paid early, right? Or at all?" Lenard launched, a cautious question to the boy.

Johnny saw the young boy, crowded by many other men, get up from his seat and call out for everyone to follow him. Johnny yelled "who is this famous captain?" The boy continued without answering. Gee i sure hope the place we're going has a bathroom, Johnny thought. The boy looked backwards in a way that suggested he was checking to see if anyone was following. It seems I will have to follow this lad in order to answer my questions, Johnny concluded. He followed after the boy.

Trevor Ponchelli
________________________________________________________________________________
Seeing that all the interested were following, Trevor was turning around to lead them back to the Inn, when he heard a familiar voice from before. "We're getting paid early, right? Or at all?" It was the black haired man from before. "I dunno." Trevor mumbled, not really caring, as he pushed past a crowd of ladies all standing around a window display. "Ask the Capt'n, once ya meet 'em." As he led the group of recruit through the crowded streets of port town, he would sometimes run ahead or hide behind a cart, to see if the group could keep up. Captain Avigo said this would be a good way to test them. After a half hour of walking, the group finally made it to the seaside section of the city were the Inn was located. Seeing it just down the road, Trevor quickened his pace and began skipping. He turned his head and joyfully shouted to his followers "C'mon! It's just up the road!" Pointing ahead of him. As he neared his parent's Inn, he noticed a horse tied to the side of the building. Once he reached the doorsteps, Trevor stopped to catch his breath, and turned around to see if his followers had kept up.

Ponchelli Inn

"Well..." Mr. Ponchelli started in a low tone "Bout' four weeks ago, a young lad washed up on the shores, the day after a terrible storm, right outside this very establishment, nearly dead. He was in a fancy pirate outfit, a gaudy red if I recall... Anyways, We were about to leave 'em there to die, him being a pirate and all, but for some absurd reason, my boy took pity on the blighter! Cripes, did he throw a fit... So... We decided to take the pitiful chap in." At this statement, He took his hand and tenderly rubbed the back of his neck, adverting his gaze away from the young woman. "For two weeks, the lad just sat in bed, staring off into space, mumbling strange things, completely delirious. Sometimes, the chap would even start crying. We couldn't get him to wake up, he was a vegetable." Letting out a sigh, Mr. Ponchelli rubbed his forehead. "Finally, one day, he woke up. It was probably my wife's medicine that did the trick. If that stuff can't save you, nothing can. Any how, the lad claimed that he was a captain for, get this..." Mr Ponchelli leaned even closer to the girl, cupping a hand over his mouth "... The Scarlet Dread! Can you believe it? A Scarlet Dread Captain, washing up on our shores? My wife just about had a fit then, but the chap was quite nice, actually. He even helped out around the Inn in thanks. He didn't tell us much, but the blighter has a bone to pick with his former "associates", and asked for our help to get him off the island. My wife was more then happy to rid herself of the man, and my son... Well, lets just say he's a big fan of pirates, but what can you do?" at this, he gave a slight shrug. "Right now, my boy is running an errand of the Captain. Gathering up recruits for a crew. Funny though, I don't recall the man having a boat..." Standing back up to his full height, Mr. Ponchelli took out a glass from a cupboard, and filled it with water from a barrel in the back of the bar. Placing it on the counter, he said "Well, excuse me for chatting your ear off, I thought you might like your water early, seeing as though your breakfast won't be coming for a while." Then looking up at the small window above the doorway, he mumbled to no one in particular "Trevor should be coming back by now..." Remembering that the girl was still there, he added "You see, The Captain has locked himself in the storage room and gave my son, Trevor, the key." He Stuck a thumb over his shoulder that pointed to a door at the end of a hallway next to the bar. "He won't come out until Trevor comes back with the recruits. What an odd man..." With that, Mr. Ponchelli picked up the dirty glass from before and continued to clean it with a rag.

Ari floated on, Moving faster when he noticed the boy did too. I wonder who'll we meet... he thought, focusing on the boy, as not to lose him in the streets. Maybe he or she's a former naval commander, or maybe a pirate! Nah, I'm being too hoping, maybe some fisherman or something. he nodded to himself in agreement, just in time to their stop. "By any chance, will we get food?" he had asked.

Johnny yawned. He was getting sick of following this boy. But he knew, somehow that it was his destiny to follow this boy to where he was going. The boy moved unusually fast for his girth. Johnny had to jog to keep up with him. Not being very athletic himself, he found that he was panting and quite exhausted while following the boy. Luckily, there was a beautiful, little inn which the boy had walked directly up too. He checked back to see if his group had followed him. Johnny moved quickly to the door, standing behind the boy.

"I dunno." was the response that the young lad fired back. Lenard's face wrinkled a bit, but followed the boy. Amazingly, he was ducking behind various objects like mad. Lenard didn't know the city well, but he could have sworn that they were just going in circles. As the little boy ducked out of view once more, Lenard saw the boy in a reflection of a shop window across the street, giggling.
"That little... argh!" he muttered. Lenard followed him for a bit, and then decided that the little boy was fooling them. A grand tour, just to waste time. As the boy ran ahead again, Lenard was losing his patience. Once the young boy ducked down again. Lenard ran off to the side, and started wandering, and walked much quicker. After walking, he decided to head over to a random inn, and thought perhaps that was the best place to find a ship's captain, and not some misleading boy. Sitting right in front of the inn behind a horse and exasperated with the earlier event, he decided to lie down, until he heard a familiar voice say "C'mon! It's just up the road!". Shocked, Lenard jerked up to have his nose crush into the horses's body. Carefully, he peeked around the horse to see the one boy he was following around before. Shocked, Lenard got up, and made his way around the horse. "This is the place?" He asked, attempting to keep his voice level.

Aneira's face remained void of expression as the innkeeper told his story, the innkeeper was a good man, she knew she'd never take in a pirate, no matter what the little snot nosed spoiled child wanted. Especially one from the Scarlet Dread, she wanted to spit at the mention of such a group of pirates, her mouth mind felt foul for dwelling on them. She looked around the room she was in,she stared at the door harshly, it was hiding a horrid creature, the scum of man. She would gladly put an end to his life and free this family from the pirate, perhaps find their son a new hobby, maybe some type of wood work. Aneira dwelled on her hatred of pirates while staring off into space. Like the beginnings of a brewing storm an idea began to swirl in her mind, she would join this pirate and his crew of idlers and misfits, then help him get his revenge on the scarlet dread, hopefully meaning that they would be killed, then.....she would kill him, eliminating the Scarlet Dread. Her icy eyes twinkled happily with her plot fully formed, she would wait for the innkeeper's son to return with the rest of the recruits and she would join the crew.

Trevor Ponchelli
________________________________________________________________________________
Trevor rocked back and fourth on the balls of his heels as he waited for his followers to catch up. As soon as they neared, yet another question was asked by the curious thief "This is the place?" The curly haired boy cheerfully replied "Yep! It's my mum and pop's Inn!" Stepping up to the door, he grabbed the large brass doorknob and pulled it open. Trevor called out "Mama! Papa! I did it! I found da crew!" Stepping out of the doorway, he held the door open for the others, quite proud of himself, his cheeks a rosy red from grinning.

Ponchelli Inn

"Well speak of the devil!" Mr. Ponchelli exclaimed, nearly dropping his glass again "Here's my boy now!" Sticking his head into a window that connected to the kitchen next to the bar, he called out to his wife "Martha, our boy is back with the recruits!" Almost immediately, Mrs. Ponchelli stuck her head out the kitchen door, her cheeks caked with flour. She took a moment to examine the group that stood in the doorway, before giving a nod of approval. "Welcome to the Ponchelli Inn!" She called out "Be sure to wipe your feet on the way in!" She giggled at the pun she made before she pulled her head back into the kitchen to return to her work.

Setting
Late Morning: Sunny

______________________________________________________________________________
The Ponchelli Inn is a small family run business that is run by the Ponchelli family. The building itself is located on the side of the city that hugs the coast, giving visitors inside a pleasant view of the ocean. Not only can you order a cold drink or a hot, home-cooked meal, you can also stay in one of the few rooms upstairs. For a fee, of course. Located near the back of the Inn is a large storage room, used for storing various barrels of drinks and spare furniture. The Captain himself has locked himself in the storage room, giving Trevor the key, only to unlock it when he (Trevor) comes back with some recruits.

Aiolos grumbled and wiped his feet. The boy had ignored his question... He pushed himself to the front of the small crowd and found himself looking directly at Mr. Ponchelli. "You the captain?" He called out. "You need some organization!"

"Nice inn" Ari quietly said, as he floated a little lower to wipe his feet before entering. "So where's the captain anyway?" he asked, tilting his head to the side. "Actually, is there anything to eat? I wish I could pay, but I spent all of my money."

Aneira looked over her shoulder slightly, the group of the fools who would do anything, including work for a filthy pirate. She felt the need to spit once again, but kept her gaze down, so she wouldn't draw attention to herself. She prepared herself to assimilate with the recruits once the captain came out. She placed her hands on the table but always kept her right eye at where the innkeeper had pointed to, the store room door.

"Martha, our boy is back with the recruits!" the innkeeper stuck his head through a window inside and shouted.

That was stopped Jong in his tracks. Oh, so the man recruiting was actually the inn keeper. Not at all strange, paranoid captains sometimes used a third party to recruit men. Moving to the counter now, he confronted the inn keeper, with a neutral expression and his voice dead serious.

"I heard there was a captain looking for some crew," he started and shifted the sling on his shoulder, making a little noise from the weapon it was attached to, "Do you happen know anything about that?"

Johnny stepped into the beautiful little inn. He chuckled because he was expecting those old worn down inns that you always think about when you hear the word inn. There was a kind, portly man and his charming wife. There was astounding wooden tables all of the place with a strange woman sitting down at one of them. Johnny asked "Are we going to have rooms here? When can we meet the Captain?" Feeling right at home, Johnny took a seat at a nearby table.

Dazed, Lenard stepped into the Inn. As he settled into its atmosphere, he decided that this trip wouldn't be that bad. Seating himself at an empty table, he decided there was none to be done except stare at the storeroom door and the inn's occupants. He might need to recognize them later, in the case of a crisis.

Mr. Ponchelli
________________________________________________________________________________
As soon as the newcomers stepped through the doors, Mr. Ponchelli was bombarded with questions such as; "You the Captain?" "Is there anything to eat?" and "Do you know anything about the Captain?" For a few seconds, the bartender said nothing, wearing an irritable expression on his face. Finally, he spoke, addressing the rider first "I am most certainly not the captain! Do you think I would even be standing behind this counter if I was? The nerve of some chaps..." taking a few deep breaths to calm himself down, he spoke to the rest "As for the actual Captain, he locked himself in the storage room down the hall. If your hungry, he took a large basket of my wife's corn muffins with him, though I don't think he asked for permission... In any matter, my son, Trevor, has the key to unlock the door." Then turning from the group he called out to Trevor who was still holding the door open "Trevor! Why don't you tell Avigo that the recruits are here? I don't think he would want to be kept waiting."

"Awright Papa!" the boy called out, closing he door. Turning fro the door, Trevor skipped across the dining area and down the hall to the large door at the end. Then reaching into one of the various pockets on his stained overalls, he produced a large brass key. Sliding it into the keyhole under the doorknob, he turned the key with a loud "Click" and pushed the door open, stepping into the darkness on the other side. For a few minutes, nothing could be heard from the store room besides some barely audible whispering. Finally Trevor emerged from the room, wearing a look of officialism on his facial features. In a loud, mock important voice, he stated "The Captain will see you now. You may enter." The boy instantly broke out into giggling, amused by how silly he sounded, and stepped out of the way to let people into the room.

Setting
Ponchelli Inn: Storage Room

______________________________________________________________________________
A cold, dark room in the back of the Ponchelli Inn used for storing crates and barrels of goods, as well as spare and broken furniture. The room has been converted into a makeshift meeting place, with a large oak desk in the center with a comfortable armchair behind it for the captain to sit. In front of the desk are a few wicker chairs meant for the arriving recruits to sit. Barrels, crates, and furniture fill up the rest of the room. The room is utterly dark, spare for a small window that casts a single ray of light onto the desk.
