The 64 and Brawl ones had the logo. Melee replaced it with the Flipper.

It is not at all silly that the Smash original items are getting a more consistent theme

black & red colors featured heavily and SMASH logos errwher

The only one I kinda have an issue with is the bat. And I mean I still like it, but I just liked it better as a normal baseball bat
