Fighter Hayabusa or Great Puma from Pro Wrestling. Having a moveset based on wrestling moves, maybe even have a momentum mechanic where the more momentum he has during an attack, the more damage and knockback his attacks do.

It'd be nice to see a character representing the Mario RPGs like Paper Mario or something. The current Mario doesn't seem to show a lot of references to his franchise.

That sounds like a great idea! Still, I can personally see Fighter Hayabusa and/or Star Man in SSF2.

Eh, the Mario series actually represents the Mario RPGs pretty neatly:
-Mario's ability to shoot Fireballs without using a Fire Flower actually originated in Super Mario RPG, his Final Smash even looks similar to the Fire Orb moves in SMRPG.
-Peach actually has many of her weapons coming from SMRPG, her pan comes from that game, just as her signature parasol also appeared first in that game. She even has her slapping attacks coming from that game! As a bonus, her parasol's design comes exactly from Super Paper Mario.
-Several of Bowser's atacks come from Super Mario RPG, his Drill Claw (side-tilt), his S-Special also uses an animation from that same attack. His crawling animations and Down-Tilt in Smash 4 are actually moves he can perform in M&L Bowser's Inside Story.
-As a bonus, Wario's side-tilt comes from one of Booster's attacks in SMRPG.

The Mario RPG games are actually referenced a lot in Smash, although barely by name, since the only one that gets mentioned in the form of trophies in the official Smash titles is Paper Mario, while M&L only get music and SMRPG got only a Mii costume. So I also think it would be neat to have one fighter in the roster be exclusive to the Mario RPGs, like Fawful, Dimentio, Count Bleck or Geno. Emphasis on "or".

Hey guys, I'm pretty sure I brought this up at some earlier point, but what do you all think of the idea of Bandana Waddle Dee following PAC-MAN's example of breaking out of the Assist Trophy to become a playable character in SSF2?

I Predict another newcomer to be in beta. In terms of newcomers we only got Isaac ( and he was announced even before 0.9b was released ) So I feel like there is gonna be another newcomer that might come out of nowhere.

I am predicting these characters for Beta...

Ice Climbers - Honestly, I'll be quite surprised if they're not playable.

Ganondorf - Hmm...I see him being saved for the full game as a hidden character, if I had to be honest. But then again, after the release of the Wii U version of Smash 4, I guess anything can happen. Heck, once SSF2 Beta is released, the "Original 12" ( ) will ALL be available at the very start of the game, JUST like the Wii U version of Smash 4, no less. Not to mention Ganondorf was also a starter character for Smash 4 (Wii U) as well, so I wouldn't put it out of the realm of possibility that he becomes a starter character for SSF2 as well.

Lip - I REALLY do want her in SSF2. Hopefully, like Isaac, the devs are aware of her moveset potential and add her. BTW, if by some (miraculous) chance she IS playable, I see her being a hidden character, personally.

Snake - I hope he's still in SSF2. Though, I feel he should be saved for the full game. Again, that's just me.

I have a good feeling that Dedede will appear in Beta
Probably as an unlockable character, though.
