right now I'm playing Final Fantasy XIII and I'm surprised to find that I hate it a lot less than I did the first time
Either it gets worse later on and I forgot about that or my opinion of it has just changed over time
Anyway: hey man what game are you playing tell us about it is it cool is it not cool come on let's chat

I've been replaying Fable lately. It's a lot of fun to see all the things I missed the first time around, like Theresa's journal in the opening sequence, which talks about the ending of the game.

I've been playing sequence, I f*** hate so many things about the attitude and writing and s***. I like the main combat/rhythm system though.

I really really wanted to like Sequence. The combat is really neat. But it downright forces you to grind all the time. That wouldn't be bad, since it's a rhythm game and replaying songs is the point of the game, but it forces you to grind a certain set of songs and anything beyond that is pointless to your current goal
I will finish it someday, though. I will play Guitar Sound some day.
And also yeah the writing is f*** garbage. Note to amateur design teams: do not model the characters after yourselves and do not make the dialog try to sound "casual". Don't try to be funny. Just don't.
I'm playing Oracle of Seasons!! It's slower paced than most 2D Zelda games and as such it's much less interesting to explore. The animal buddies also feel kind of weird and out of place, maybe a little underutilized. That said, it's a 2D Zelda!!! It's the least fun one I've played so far but I'm still enjoying it a lot.

The Oracle games were made by Capcom, so that might be why they feel different.
I'm eventually going to get around to a Zelda series marathon when I've worked through my backlog a little more so I guess I'll see for myself
I haven't finished most of the 2D Zeldas and I feel bad because of it :<

Ugh that's how I feel about it too. It's like very obvious wish fulfillment self insertion s*** and I can't stand it.

I had noticed some similarities between Seasons and Minish Cap, which is also Capcom. They visit a lot of the same elements, like a graveyard and a jumping item. Minish Cap had the roll and a faster walk speed though so it was more enjoyable to explore
It's been ages (pun not intended) since I played Minish Cap though so I might ought to replay that next for comparison's sake. I know it has a f*** tiny amount of dungeons compared to the others
@Krillin it was a good development environment, I'm sure. It's clearly a game made by a group of friends. They shouldn't have stuck themselves in the game though. I'm not their friend. They were blind to how f*** awkward that would be in a fantasy setting.

child of light it's actually pretty cool. the rhyming is pretty forced sometimes but it's not ~terrible~ the one character who always messes up the rhymes is great though

lol that's like the first thing you do in the game. I believe in you. The Oracle games are great. *points to sig* I'm playing Yoshi's New Island, almost finished. I'm also currently addicted to Mario Golf World Tour.

Currently dabbling with inFamous: Second Son and War Thunder. Both good ways to kill time before the release of Destiny.
Also Megaman Zero Collection on the DS. Loved that series on the GBA and the ports a great nostalgia trip.
