Do you have some fear of long posts, or extended explanations?

From my point of view, this is kinda out of the blue, could you at least elaborate?

Anyway I'm just tired of noobs acting like it's so simple to make games whenn some people work hard to make certain sprites and stage and then they get them stolen!?!?!?!

A lot of the sprites he shows are stolen, but only some of those are from SSF2. While it is something we as a team will be contating him about, we can't hold responsibility for the sprites he stole from other games.

I know this is a big deal, but where is there internet law about sprites?

You didn't copyright them.
The representations you use are registered by Nintendo and technically using those representations without permission is illegal.

Technically, you're stealing, and they're stealing what you stole basically.

In the end, everyone is wrong and there is no justice.

SHUT DOWN EVERYTHING

But in all seriousness, yes, it is practically impossible to control this kind of thing when you have this is mind.
It's like an invasive species or an Internet meme; if it spreads too far, you can't control it any longer.

Even if you have no monetary gain by it, and IF you respect the copyright, Nintendo can still drag you to court for it, since they didn't give their explicit authorization. (and no, you're not protected by the "fair use" clause)

Actually, it's akin to working with any type of artistry, be it pixel art, or oil painting.

Let's say I painted an amazing picture of Wolverine from the X-Men, I do not own the character, and Marvel could step right in and ask me to not portray their character in such a fashion or whatever, they also have the right to take me court as well. All is good so long I don't start claiming that I came up with Wolverine and starting charging people to use him. It's their character so they have the greatest control over what is done with it. However, if someone else tries to steal my picture I have the right to say they may not use it, as it is theft of my time, effort, and talent that went into the work. Theft is theft.

Nintendo shuts down free pokemon games because they emulate pokemon games.

These games emulate Smash, so why not?

I'm sure they do. We've been threatened by problem child users in the past as to them notifying Nintendo about our game to have us shut down. Nintendo is probably aware of most of the smash fangames.
