That golem is absolutely sexy. The pigeon Bird bot looks awesome as well, although the black part on top looks a bit cluttered and the leg heights are mixed up but nonetheless awesome. That Portrait also looks awesome, good work man.

Bumppp Melee-style Fox, Falco and Jiggs for a cancelled project, figured I'd post them here. Made with the DB16 color palette, C&C welcome.

They look awesome! Even though the project is cancelled, I would love to see some more pixel art in that style.

Yes, unforunately. :/ Thank you! Thanks! I'll be switching over to another project that currently uses the same palette, so there just might be some more stuff in this topic soon.

I love the use of the palette! It looks amazing and I would love to see how they could be animated.

This sprite is a couple years old now, was in need of an update. Most of the changes are tiny cleanups, but others like the eye and bulb are more noticeable. There's still some banding around the feet that I'm not super happy with, might revisit it soon.

Felt like updating my topic so here's a GB palette gif. Shoutouts to my bros in the RP section for C&C.

Thanks haha, I haven't done as much animating as I'd like yet so I'm not 100% sure, but I think a lot of the smoothness comes from the end of each motion. The sword in particular has a lot of momentum when the knight ends his swing, so it keeps going for a while and sometimes snaps back, rather than abruptly coming to a halt. The sword trails also kinda follow this principle; they appear quickly, but take their time disappearing. Part of it is probably also workflow, that animation is the first thing in this thread that was made in Krita rather than GIMP. Krita actually has features geared towards animation (a timeline, onion skin, etc) as opposed to GIMP's image-manipulation-geared feature-set, so animating in it is much nicer. I used GIMP to put the GIF together though, so it definitely has its uses.
