Some people asked where Damian has been the past few Idon'tknowhowlongexactly. To be honest, I did contonue with Damian stuff only more drawing wise and writing wise. But here's a sprite for you sprite loving persons:

It's 'Deity' Damian a form Damian achieved by defeating Reverse Damian. Sadly Reverse Damian represents Damian's inner goodness and pretty much controlled Damian will. When Reverse Damian was 'defeated' (AKA Damian had an inner conflict) Damian's mind got out of control. Hoping to restore sanity, the twilight soul inside Damian fused with his mind, taking over Damian's whole body in progress. He literally became a 'Corrupted being', a being that has no senses of good and evil, only destruction and power. After battling no one less then Mister Hats, Damian obtained the 'Twilight mask', the mask worn by Reverse Damian before he 'died'. This mask resides inside his soul and keeps Damian calm when he summons his Deity form. After this incident, Damian wears the mask every time he powers up to the deity form.

The backstory about Deity form (for those who are interested):
In the world in wich the Damian story takes place, evolved organisms have adapted the ability to let their soul fure with the elementals (dark, light,wind, earth, fire and water). By 'corrupting' an elemental to fure with one's soul, the person also obtained a god-like power that rests deep within the soul. In most cases, this power remains unsused or only in small bits from time to time. In some cases hower, due high emotional stress or whatever, this power unleases and goes on a rampage wanting to destroy everything. Ancient legends speak of a god, who wanted an army of loyal minions on the earth, and gave 'the chosen ones' the ability to become one. In the present time in Damians world, only true masters of their corrupted elementals can summon this power, without killing themselves in progress. Some believe that these people are the offsprings of the ancient 'chosen ones'' whom have come back to settle all conflicts on earth.

Well, I'm still a bit unsure about the stories above^, but at least the character design is how I want it.

Pretty good, but when you say "that's the character design I want him to have", I hope you mean that. Because the last couple of times you've said "thats the design I want him to have" you've changed Damian's character design soon after

As a matter of fact: The current design Damian uses has always been in the 'Damian' series (he was in the serie before the Damian with the mask and the Light Yamigami head), but back then he was named 'Tayler' and was more of a side character. The more I drew the character, the more I saw the possibilities of it. Then I decided to change Tyler's clothes (he had Cloud styled clothes at first) and make him the main character. Back then the serie was about collecting stamps with magical power.

Exactly, not only Damian, but the whole series had major chamnges. The only thing that never changed is Mister Hats.

Well to be honest, Reverse Damian is not evil. You see Reverse Damian is actually Damian's old personality that was hidden deep away in his soul when Damian got through the first events of the series. Every now and then, this personality will clash with Damian's new personality, resulting in a quick inner battle: Damian has to overcome himself, to gain power.

This is still a bit vague, but Reverse Damian is supposed to be. I hope this didn't confuse you to much.

the main hero has a dark inside in them like hollow ichigo (Via bleach) or kyubi (via Naruto)
and the fact how you got a mask just like ichigo

so if your going to take the corrupted inner self at least do some thing new

it wasn't really evil. You see, I've never seen Bleach so I can't vouch for that. But, my friend loves naruto and I'm under the impression that this kyuubi guy is EVIL right? Like destroy everything RAWR kind of evil. While this character just struggles to find foothold and be something that he wasn't before. At least, that's the impression I'm getting.

tl;dr: It's just a symbol for struggling to become someone new IMO. Reminds me of Tales of the Abyss with Luke struggling to be someone new (in a less visual sort of way)
