why would people defending and liking 06 make you upset? who cares if people think it’s bad, it’s fun and it doesn’t matter what anyone thinks anyway. i’d rather enjoy a glitchy messy game with a lot of heart and really fun core gameplay than care about what any toaster thinks lol. just like things that you like without giving a s*** and if you dislike things that’s fine too, just don’t make people feel bad for liking them and don’t dislike things for stupid reasons like “because everyone says it’s bad”

Whenever I hear someone defend '06 it just makes me hate it more because of everyone I know hating sonic because of this game. it basically is a defense of the game that people hate on my favorite franchise because of. It just hurts me. And I already thought '06 is the worst game ever because of its story, glitches and IMO terrible level design (especially with silver)

but when the opinion of others genuinely affects how you like or dislike a game, well....

'06 is definitely not the worst game ever by a long shot. I'd rather play '06 than say, Mega Man X7

bro, i’ll reiterate: hating something because other people hate it is lame. sonic is my favorite franchise too, trust me. it’s been my favorite since i was a very small child, and sonic 06 is my second favorite sonic game ever. i’m not joking.

its story has plot holes and other issues but it also has way more heart and effort put into it than games like generations, lost world, forces, even a game like heroes i’d argue. the presentation is fantastic, i love it. and the level design is actually really good most of the time, especially in silver’s story! silver’s story is a stellar example of “wow i’m not playing as sonic but this is still fun” type gameplay.

again: who cares what people think. sonic 06 did not kill the franchise, sonic 06 did not ruin the series. sonic is still alive and well and always will be. sonic 06 sold enough copies to be featured as one of xbox 360’s “platinum” or “premium” picks or whatever. if people you know go “wow sonic 06 sucks! sonic sure does suck!” then a) you need better friends, and b) you’re too impressionable/young/you care too much about what others think to be on the internet. form your own identity, form opinions in a complete void, alone. what other people, whether they be friends, critics, youtubers, or whatever, think of something should not effect your opinion at all. if sonic is really your favorite franchise, sonic 06 is far from the worst game in the series, let alone “worst game of all time”.

I already hated '06 as my least favorite game just by the story and glitches and gameplay before people hated on my favorite franchise because of it. I just don't like '06. never have. Never will. I played '06 BEFORE reading reviews and I liked X7 better. and superman 64.

It's okay to like Sonic 06, but you don't have to s*** on other games in the series to support your arguments. If it's so good, stick to talking about how good it is on its own
