One thing that i can definitely say that's positive is the mask. It's definitely better than the old version's. A negative i see in the new Skull kid are two things. One, the green collar thing should stick out a little more as it feels almost barely noticeable. Two, the clothing should be in sort of a orange-red color. Your color palette looks like it's just dark red. Your attempt at the color palette look like it suffered because it's more of towards orange rather than blending in the two and it showed about near to no contrast... That or you used the darker shade at the very least. I can see it on the hat but not on the clothing.

As for the new idle, i animated it (but it won't allow me to save it as a .Gif for some reason) and i noticed that Skull kid comes to a halt for half a second. That shouldn't be happening during an idle animation as Skull kid should be moving/breathing consistently. Have you animated the new idle animation before you finalized it on your spritesheet?

Edit: Found the problem. You added two of the same frame (frames 5 and 6). Remove the 5th or 6th frame from your idle animation and it should be moving/breathing much better now.

and no i dont animete theme, because i forgot how to animate and i dont really remember which program did i used to use

The foot movement is better, but it doesn't look quite right because raising one's heels would raise the body a bit more than you're doing so currently.

should his feets move or not move?? i dont get it because someone told me that it should move and now you are telling me that they shouldnt move T-T

i really want to make a full sheet for skull kid but i cant even make a good idle meeeeeh

The idle itself is fine, it just isn't perfect. Things need work.


For a special, I'd recommend a summon for the Puppets in the TP Lost Woods, or shooting needles from his flute.

What I saw:
N: Flute Darts
S: Throw Tatl/Tael at them.
U: Levitate
D: Mask Laser
FS: DA MOON

I would recommend swapping the Mask Laser for a Puppet Summon, and Throw Fairy with maybe a vanishing backflip, but other people might have different opinions.

For now, can you start with either what Kidd said, or the FS animation where he freaks out?
