Super Smash Flash HD?

Note: It's 4:04 in the freaking morning so I have no clue why I'm awake. So if the following makes no sense, forgive me.
I was just playing the new SSF2 demo in full screen, and I was looking at the graphics, especially the sprites, and saw how BAD they looked in full screen. So I got an idea. I would make a High-Definition Remake of Super Smash Flash. I think this would be a great way to join the forums and this would be a great way to add my first contribution to the forum.

So I'm just wondering if Flash can handle HD (when I say HD, I mean something that doesn't look totally disgusting in FS, not actually 1080p stuff, but again, something to make full screen minerly decent) graphics, because before I start making it, I just want to know if it's possible.

If you don't have the slightest idea of the capabilities of flash, what makes you think you'll be able to replicate the game with HD sprites?

Aside from that, resizing a sprite looks bad due to it not being made for a certain size. Hence why streetfighter esque sprites are larger to be played on a larger screen, like arcades and tvs, where as JUS sprites are made for a DS screen, and most sprites in SSF2 are around that size. You're basically trying to play a game with sprites sized to be suitable on a screen of about a DS size on a screen much much larger. Why exactly? There's no point. Are you doing it just to fill up the computer screen, for a "better" experience? This is like playing a wide screen format in full screen. You get rid of the black bars, great, but you're taking away from the experience by cutting half of it out.

Tl;dr
DON'T PLAY IN FULL SCREEN. THERE'S NO REASON TO.

I just like full screen because the experience is more immersive. And how do I think I'll be able to recreate the game? It's called Google, baby.

Honestly, THERES NO REASON. IT IS IN NO WAY BETTER. IT IS NOT AN IMPROVEMENT.

If you put it into a resolution that keeps perspective it doesn't matter ;D
EX: if the original game is 800x600 you could use 1600x1200 that way it just doubles the size of each pixel =p
you will still get a bunch of odd shaped here and there but its better then having a bunch of fat sprites.

That being said, a sprite that is doubled in size looks much worse than in normal size.

Ye, but I think he was talking more along the lines of oddly stretched pixels.

No. Not oddly stretched, just f*cked up like this (please note how Goku looks) (also note that it technically IS wide screen, Glitch. Except more like long screen...).

For the love of god, use an image hosting site.
And for the record, the wide screen vs full screen was an EXAMPLE. YOU DONT PLAY SSF2 IN WIDE SCREEN.

Why the f*** are you hosting an image on mediafire?
Can't you just post it using imageshack or some other image host website?

I'm asking you how would I go about making it. It couldn't hurt trying to teach me a thing or two. Worst case: you waste 5 minuets teaching me this and I never use it. Best case: I make an awesome remake of Super Smash Flash and the whole community is happy.

I can't teach you how to sprite, and make a full fledged flash game in five minutes.

You can't expect everyone to teach you, if everyone was dependent on everyone else then there would be nothing.
