Hello SSF2/other boards members!

I have been a member of these boards for several weeks and i have discovered many interesting things in SSF2. I intend to continue to play the game through the updates and for quite some time after the final version has been released. I also intend to discover as much information on SSF2 in order to help it become a better game.

I am a competitive Smasher in deep SoCal(less than 5 mins from the border) and i attend tournaments whenever i can. I've played smash my whole life. Ever since i first played the original on the 64 i have been addicted to this franchise.

I used to play the original SSF in my spare time when i got bored of playing the real thing on rare occasions. I liked it. It was a good way to just kick back and relax from playing the real thing.

Recently(version 5b) i decided to play super smash flash once more for old time's sake. But to my surprise it was below this banner labeled:"super smash flash 2 demo". I decided to give it a try so i downloaded the latest version they had. It was amazing. The controls, characters, physics... everything was far beyond my expectations of a flash game. I began playing everyday; finding out all the glitches, ATs, whilst fighting level 9 cpus.

I decided to tell my neighbor and one of my best friends about it. He loved it as well. Being an incredible Tales of Symphonia fan (having clocked over 5000 hours, beaten the game over 70 times, unlocked everything in the game, maxed out every character's levels, and memorized around 70% of the game's dialogue) he dedicated himself solely to Lloyd. Funny thing is a few days before i discovered SSF2 we were thinking about what Lloyd and all the other character's move-sets would be if they were to make an appearance in the next smash bros. game.

I decided to main Mega Man. We would square off against eachother perhaps 4 days a week when we first began playing. I would always toss out the purple portal and he would complain about how gay it was. Later i began playing Naruto right before 6.0's release. I felt that his incredible speed and combos would be unmatched by anyone else.

Once 6.0 was released i was at odds on who to main. I still liked naruto and mega man but there was this new dude in this version, Sora. I decided to try him out. I thought he sucked really bad. His glide would kill me when i tried to jump off stage to edgeguard and his Uair, Dair, and Fair were less than impressive. I decided to main naruto since he was still really fast and seemed to combo better than ever now!

I began discovering dozens of glitches, techniques, and other things in my playtime. Some of the things i discovered were: aerial mines as mega man, Sora's double glide, and link's infinite combos. Link's infinites were just a shock to me. He was the most broken character i had ever seen. To this day i main Link since he's too fun to combo with.

So what else do i have to say? Just one thing:

Yo. You decided to make your own welcome topic. Welcome to the forums! You have wi-fi? You should brawl with some of the competitive players here.

Competitive Smasher in SoCal? Sounds pretty nice.
