most americans will get home after being on the computer and so im tired like so
American: goes to work on computer at 8:00 am, leaves at 10:00 pm "im tired so can you give me something to eat
Mexican:goes to work to any of the above jobs 6:00,leaves at 11:00 pm "just give me something to eat thats all"
and besides cooking good foods is hard most Americans buy precooked foods unlike Mexicans which actually cook the food

It is more that the cause of the not too great state of the economy is outsourcing, replacing trade of produced goods partially with financial trade and a wasteful foreign policy. Also NAFTA combined with American corn subsidies made Mexican farmers lose their jobs. Add the War on Drugs and the ensuing violence of that drama of drug and foreign policy and you have your reasons for Mexican migration.
