Day start. Smart move.

While the town power roles do not have any reports and must wait for a scumslip of sorts, the mafia power roles don't know who each other are either. Also, this gives everyone a chance to enjoy at least one day.

Yeah, this is true, however, most mafia games begin at night. (At least the ones I play)

Most games that I play start at night as well. But as I said, with a night start, there is a high chance that someone will die before day one starts, removing any chance of said player being able to enjoy the game.

With my luck, I'll probably die N1 anyways.

You don't enjoy the game if you die N1 or N2, IMO. But anyway, during D1 there will most likely be a NL decision while we observe each other's behavior. Unless there is an EXTREMELY town-sided amnesiac or something similar.

Night starts work on epicmafia because games don't last nearly as long, so if you die n1 it's not a massive issue. This game is going to take a while because it's forum-based, so a day start means that no-one has to be dead for the whole thing.

A lot of games I play on EM only last a day because everyone always suicides, and then the mafia ends up winning.

I play on competitive lobby at EM, so that's not a problem. And we definitely won't have this problem here. Unless we have no replacements.

I'm pretty sure you can be part of the whole game. Unless you want to be a replacement to avoid dying on the first night or something.

Considering that we need just two more people to start the game, I'd rather have you as an official player.
The decision is up to you anyway.

Or, maybe he doesn't want to be paranoid cop again.

Or maybe he has to do something that will keep him away from the internet so he does not want to be booted out in the beginning because of inactivity.
