How old are you?:17
Which characters do you play in SSF2? Why do you play these characters? (Note: do not list characters that are not currently in the game):
I main Naruto and Sheik at the moment. Honestly after I picked up Naruto this game has gotten so much fun for me. The combos and setups you can do with the character is so sick and amazing to me. As for Sheik, it's the character I have a lot of experience with. I know how to play most if not all the matchups with that character and feel like I'm the only player to come close to mastery of the character.
How much experience do you have with official Smash titles? (SSB64, Melee, Brawl. Include in this answer which characters you play/played.):
Not too much before I picked up SSF2. I was just a casual scrub that played Brawl and Melee with my brother. But after getting into SSF2 I started loving smash in general and started watching a lot of competitive smash. In Melee I played Luigi, in Brawl I played Ike, Marth, and Pit, and finally, in Smash 4 I played Luigi and Mewtwo.
Have you ever attended any Smash tournaments? If so, give some details about the tournament (number of participants, which games, etc). How well did you place? For the main series titles, nope
. But as far as SSF2 goes, I've entered several over the course of my 2 years playing this game. Early on I didn't really place too well as expected, but later I started getting and placing better and better. This year I entered 3 tournaments with 30+ entrants and achieved 1st place on all 3 of them. I only lost a single set in those tournaments but then 6-3ed Kyoz in Grand Finals to take the tournament.
When did you start playing SSF2?Late August 2014
What is your favorite stage in SSF2? Explain.Smashville easily. I love this stage so much and is 9/10 times my go-to stage for when I'm playing online. I'm easily at my best when I'm on this stage. I tend to prefer flat stages but also like platforms so that mix of a primarily flat stage with 1 moving platform is just the best combination for me.
Who, in your opinion, should be placed first on the SSF2 tier list? Under competitive settings why would this character perform on a higher level than all others?I believe it should be Meta Knight. I've believed he was the best ever since I picked up the character in November 2014. (Yes it was before Lunary started his dominant reign using the character) He's just unbelievably versatile in every point that it's honestly overwhelming. I feel I'm pretty good with the character and I know he's super good. Although I'm not the best at doing combos with the character I have seen the potential of how devastating it can be. In terms of MUs, I feel the only one he loses is vs Zelda. Speaking of Zelda, there can be arguments made Zelda being #1, but I feel Zelda loses to Lloyd and kinda has a somewhat hard time vs disjointed characters which MK doesn't have. Furthermore, some of the matchups that Zelda is even on MK has an edge and just overall has a better MU spread than Zelda.
Who, in your opinion, should be placed last on the SSF2 tier list? Under competitive settings why would this character perform on a lower level than all others?I believe another character I used alot, Wario, to be the worst character in the SSF2 tier list. Let's get his positives out of the way. Okay, chomp. Sure it's a command grab, a combo starter, a good tool to pressure, and an overall amazing move in general, but that's literally his best move. Without chomp, Wario is downright unusable. The 2nd thing Wario has is a combo game. Maining this character for a time, I know how crazy his punish game can be. When Wario has a level 4 waft I can most of the time 0-death you by getting 1 downtilt or 1 uptilt or 1 chomp. When he has his Waft ready Wario is actually crazy. But that move takes time to charge, and without waft, Wario's kill moves aren't too crazy. The only thing he has other than Waft for a good kill move is dthrow, and good luck getting grabs with that awful grab range. Chomp and Combo game. That is literally it. Wario is either sub-par (recovery/neutral) or downright awful (edgeguarding/spacing/movement) at everything else. Wario's MU chart is actually laughable. The only character I feel he wins against is Sonic, another low tier. All this coupled with the fact of his sluggish movement makes him almost a burden to use in matches, so I find him easily to be the worst character. (A case could be made for Yoshi but I'm not 100% sure about that matchup since I only played Kyoz's Yoshi in that matchup.)
If you could make only one change to SSF2 as it currently is, what would it be and why?It would probably be to nerf Fox's backair and make it not as overwhelming cause the amount of pressure that one move can provide is absolutely insane. You can double jump with fox and use a bair and immediately fast fall to cover an entire wall with a hitbox of a move that can generally kill at 100 or 110.
What is your view on items in competitive play?I don't really think they belong in competitive. A case could be made for certain throw able items but a character should only be able to use what's in their kit and nothing else.
Do you have or can you download Skype? You don't need a mic or webcam.Yup! My skype is miracle--9 (some jerk took Miracle--7 ;-;)
Why do you want to join the Smash Flash Back Room? What will you contribute? Why are you an exceptional applicant? Be as detailed as possible.I want to contribute more to this community. I mean I've given my blood sweat and tears (just an expression) to this game and all I want to see is for it to grow. I play a multitude of characters and can explain previously unknown matchups in great depth. I also happen to be an accomplished SSF2 player being cited to being the top 3 at many characters such as Marth, Sora, Sonic, Goku, Wario, Zelda, Meta Knight, Chibi Robo, Megaman, and Mario, while being cited as the best for my respective mains of Naruto and Sheik. Because of my skills and explanations about the game, I feel I could be an invaluable member of the Backroom.
