Well I've decided to customise my PC a bit and stray away from the default "clock" screensaver I was using. I'm curious as to ask if there is a way to use Mac screensavers on a Windows system?
And if it isn't possible, perhaps you might help me find an alternative (I've checked for a while, there is an alternative but it isn't very good)
What I'm looking for is a realistic water ripple effect as a screensaver, but is completely transparent so it looks like your PC monitor is underwater
Er, so this is a vid of the Mac one (as you can see, it's quite smooth and realistic)
YouTube Video:

The author has been kind enough to supply the source code so perhaps there might be a way to convert it from Mac to PC?

it's not transparent, it just takes a screenshot of your desktop and then puts the effects on that
if you ask around somewhere other than mg you'll probably get someone to do it for you

I am wondering if anyone knew of a realistic water ripple screensaver for PC. Basically it simulates a pond/puddle of water and creates water distortions over your current screen (think the bubble screensaver for Windows Vista/7 but with water ripples).

I know there's a screensaver for Mac that goes under the name of "LotsaWater" and someone had made something similar for PC but from what I've seen of the Mac version it is completely different. The PC version moves way too much and feels really choppy. The Mac version is much more tranquil and calm.

Yep I'm well aware of "LotsaWater", however like you say the Mac version is far superior (the video I linked to is an example of "LotsaWater").
Thanks for your help though.

By the way, you might want to take a peek at the post dates

It's a bot.

Anyways, this looks interesting enough. Though I can't really supply anything, this looks interesting.

I was a bit sus, but the lack of links or anything else kind of threw me. Also I actually linked to LotsaWater in the OP
