This is a thread for free games! Preferably short games with a neat idea. Downloadable or in browser is fine. If you find something neato, post it here.

Here are some of my favorites:

Rhythm Doctor - Short little rhythm game in the vein of Rhythm Heaven. Cool music, lots of charm.

Room of 1000 Snakes - They told you not to enter. You, an explorer didn't listen. "I will find out the mystery of snakes."

Super Hot - Shooter in which time only moves while you do. It is super cool.

Undertale - In progress game, technically only the demo is free. Wears its Earthbound influence with pride. RPG/shmup hybrid.

Lethal League - HYPE AS f*** baseball/fighter thing. Getting a full release soon-ish. The most exciting game in the world

All five of those are great and you should try all of them

Can't recommend this one enough. OFF, Ib, .Flow and some of the other RPGMaker horror games are all excellent as well.

There's a pretty good bunch of pixel games I used to play before my computer blew up. All of them are competitive though, and most are local competitive. :I

Superfighters Deluxe was the best one because it has an online mode and excellent gameplay/customization given that you're tolerant enough of the many different functions you'll carry out. The button scheme may need simplification down the road, but it's okay because a lot of things can be mapped to the same button.

Outside of that there's Anamatron, Zer0 Space, and Uberleben (actually called Das Uberleben dem Groben Srpung or some s***. All fun, but all local multiplayer. Hopefully they'll care to either let a server service host their games or something.

relatively deep and layered action platformer with a lot of replay value, borders on metroidvania territory often and handles morality in a fairly interesting way

also contains one of the best final boss battles in the history of everything

and you can smash overhead lights by jumping into them

you unlock some easter egg for smashing so many lights but i forget what it is
