The Great Forum Game Massacre has been a crushing blow to the only safe haven in McLeodGaming, and I must retreat.

I was originally going to give a rant to all the people here through this topic, but instead, I'll be calm about this.


There are three types of people on the "interwebs":
Total noobs,
Lifeless trolls,
and the People with actual lives.

The Lifeless trolls spend their time looking for Total noobs to "rip on", as one of them might say.

The Total Noobs spend their time trying to be accepted-usually in the wrong ways. The Lifeless trolls (The main part of the population) will never admit it, but there is hope for these souls.

The People with actual lives hunt down Lifeless trolls "ripping on" Total noobs, and stand up for the Total noobs, usually going on to teach them how to be a Person with an actual life.

So basically it's a battle between the People with actual lives and the Lifeless trolls for control of the Total noobs. The Lifeless trolls want them gone, while the People with actual lives just want them to behave.


It occurs to me that at McLeodGaming, I am a Person with an actual life surrounded by a horde of Lifeless trolls without any allies to help me.


And alas, I retreat to my extensively private forums, knowing that they are small but that new members will flock eventually, while still staying wholesome, unlike here.

So goodbye, MG, and for most of you, good riddance.

Hah, if this is our opposition, I won't exactly be shaking in my boots any time soon. But you were mistaken about one thing. You are a total noob. This "people with actual lives" BS might suffice to convince you that you're not one of them, but that's the same as me saying I can fly, it doesn't change s***.

Let me show you the true lay of the land.

Veterans > subgroups include "dead", "trolls" and "crackpots who don't give a s***(one specially for you, Brett!)"
Normal members > subgroups include "average joe", "troll-to-be" and "lurkers"
Noobs > subgroups include "total noob", "people with 'lives'" and "you, yes, you"

Fact is, it's not hard to spot someone from the latter group. In your case, the sherwood avatar REALLY didn't help.

And for god's sake, "good riddance" implies someone left, not that you're running away with your tail between your legs.
