naruto is one of the most underestimared characters in the game. he miht have lost neutral bs ko power. but he still has his great stage control and combos. naruto should in neutral be played VERY DEFENSIVE to maximize his stage control potential. but tri platform stages RUIN THIS. but once you et a hit transfer to HEAVVY PRESSURE FOX STYLE. his worst weakness is recovery. IT SUCKS BALLS. but overrall naruto is far from low tier hes got the tools to be a competent char

Can we please talk about Naruto's Rasenshuriken? It really hurts to see such a notable move by Naruto look and be so weak now. If he needs to have a longer charge time to do the move then fine, but at least make sure that the move is strong and looks like it should. I think it would be cool if the Rasenshuriken did what it initially did when Naruto first used it. When Naruto hit the opponent with the Rasenshuriken, it would expand and explode into a sphere.  This is also the case when he throws it at one of the Pains and hits him. This is from about 3:09 - 3:30 in the video. I remember that Naruto had a similiar visual representation in the older versions when he would use Odama Rasengan. (Just showing this as a reference to what I would like to see.)  Maybe if when Naruto uses Rasenshuriken and hits the opponent in SSF2, the move could end off similarly to this in order to give it some more power and visual flare. Again, even if the charge time for the move has to be increased, that's fine with me, but I definitely think that this moves needs some improvement at this point. If not damage wise then definitely visually.

I don't really like uncalled reworks instead of buffing, I mean, as long as there is nothing inherently broken about a move, there is no reason to rework over buffing and nerfing imo

I think the move can function the same (and be buffed a little) whilst still adding the cool explosion effect. I mean it's mostly a cosmetic change, yeah?

Is it just me, or did Naruto's Rasenshuriken get even worse after update? It barely kills Jigglypuff at even 80%. Not only that, but it's range has reduced so drastically, it might as well be a physical move. This is a problem because not only is Rasenshuriken predictable, but also the fact that Naruto has a pretty long vulnerability frame before launching it, which allows opponents to take free hits.
Yeah, I almost never charge up Naruto's Neutral if I play him now. It's just not worth it. His Rasengan has been nerfed so hard, Naruto might as well not even have it. It's kinda sad a few spamming scrubs ruined such a fun character. :/

Used to play Naruto as main, now downgraded to secondary rip
Rasenshuriken doesn't even grind nor produce super knockback in canon, it latches onto a dude and detonates, though may not be good as a Smash neutral special

Here's another suggestion for Naruto's moveset, I thought it would be cool if Naruto's up-special was the Shadow Clone throw he did against Sasuke in the final fight. Basically, when Naruto falls he summons his Shadow Clones to catch him and throw him back up.  Perhaps if Naruto comes in contact with the opponent during the move, he could preform a follow up move after it connects like how Captain Falcon's up special does. The follow up move could be the throw he did on Sasuke when he caught him.  If he's on the ground preforming his up special, perhaps it could be Uzumaki Barrage.

Quick Question about Naruto.
Seeing that his defensive tools were nerfed, why didn't his offensive prowess take off? In 9b at least, his aggressive combo game great, and it seems the same in Beta. Why is he seen as so bad now only because his defensive stuff was nerfed?

"EXPLANATION: Naruto's neutral B in SSF2 is Rasengan, which is a chargeable move you can use to hit your opponent up-close, and if you hit them up close, it creates a multihit projectile rasengan. That being said, if you activate shadow clones (down B in the air) then buffer rasengan out if it while still in the air, even without contact with the opponent, the projectile rasengan will still activate. As rasengan is known to apparently be a pretty bad move for Naruto since Rasenshuriken's nerf, I hope this helps his metagame a bit! " IDK if this has been discovered before, but it definitely seems to make rasengan at least viable as a neutral tool since it can be a mid-range projectile.
