You don't always have to buy things directly from google.
The fact is that google compiles the information and someone can access it.
Don't say "Oh google can't be hacked," because on the internet, even with the best security, hackers can still easily access information.

Hackers get the info and sell it on the black market.
Boom, all your private info available to someone else.

All search engines compile information, Google just gets the most s*** for it because it's the more widely used. If you've got an issue with people finding out what you're searching for, you can just not use search engines.
But if you're going to continue to use them, you might as well use the best one available.

Alright, it's gone far enough.

I was kidding around.
There is a 1 in 1000000000000000000 chance that it'll actually happen, but the government can use it to pursue criminal investigations and has easy access to it. The fear of an encroaching nanny state that monitors the people feeds this notion of the search engines being evil, and I was invoking it for some laughs.
