Aint nothing wrong with Sidescrolling, it works for Mario. If anything, they could go the route that Sonic games do, have sections in 3D, and others in 2D. I do like Classic Mario Gameplay over Modern anyways, as long as it's creative in levels, and looks/plays nothin like NSMBW, instead something you see from a pixar film, with visually stunning backgrounds day one buy!

2D Mario games are usually more enjoyable in my opinion, with the exception of Galaxy 2 just being the best Mario game ever made.

I for one like 3D mario games more than 2D mario games,with my favourites being SMG2,SM64DS and SML.The last 2D mario I really enjoyed was SML.

im happy for this but i hope this is not what they meant by super mario bros 4 i want something more true to the classics and the new super series does that but it still felt a little diffrent to me compared to the original side scrollers

The graphics looks just like the DS version,hopefully they are just low-quality shots.And I'm personally quite excited for it,thankfully it will be released very soon which is August.

Question, why the hell is this called New Super Mario Bros 2, if its the THIRD game in the series?
