The game is really good (I think it's still in progress too), it's like playing a pixel version of Devil May Cry...Well it is named Pixel May Cry..

Played it for like 30 minute. It's pretty fun and the system is pretty well made. Everything fits well together for a 2D Action game.

I played 5 levels. The control and battle system is nice, but the game itself is very boring

there should be more of an emphasis on exploration or something, because the sections where you're trapped in and have to sit for forever killing respawning enemies are very dull but also take up most of your time

I did learn some better combos over time to kill enemies quicker by utilizing the jump-cancel to its full use, but having to come out with ways to shave time off a level felt more like a chore than the game actually being difficult. There are like 2-3 more waves than what many areas really need; which makes levels feel 5-10 minutes longer than they should be. This is just for the first 5 levels I'm describing (even the practice stage had this problem), so I'm predicting that the waves are going to be ever bigger on later levels. I wish the game also had far-range weapons too for more combo creativity.

I think that the enemy waves in the tutorial were made on purpose, like a practice session… But yeah, sometimes I just wished it was over already..
I don’t know if it’s just me but the game seems to be set on hard difficulty (those enemies that block all the time…)

Everything was good... Until the platforming sections came along. I stopped playing the game because of a near impossible platforming section and that the controls don't respond well when you're trying to maneuver in a diagonal direction.

I didn't know what i was doing for the first 5 levels until i realized that it toggled "Auto" on for me. When i toggled it off, mashing the J button was the strongest attack in the whole game. Never died once so the shop was basically useless. The new weapon was also useless because of how overpowered the sword is. Multiplier blocks aren't impressive because you'll be consistently mashing the same attacks until it reaches the wanted multiplier amount.

A nice idea but something that can be easily passed.
