It's always the theists that call atheists immoral, evil, satanic, heretics, and other nasty things. Not all theists do this, but it is very prevalent, atheists have been shunned in society for quite a long time, less so now as there are more atheists and liberal religious people, but still there nonetheless.

It's strange, every religion's got their very own stereotype. It's usually something bad that hurts the feelings of that religion. Most of them are even just seen in the wrong ways. Some people don't exactly give justice to their religion, as they put things in the wrong context and then that thing that they say always is seen in the wrong way.

Well you've got different types of Christians fighting with other types of Christians, religious wars, stereotypes, tension, and conflicting views, no doubt you'll get sour results when you put them side by side.

True, I get that. Denominations of some religions doesn't really make much sense to me.

Can I just say I've seen many, many more a****** atheists in recent memory than I have a****** Christians

And when I do see an a****** Christian they're almost never as bad as the a****** atheists

It's the reverse for me, personally. I guess it just depends on the person and who you expose yourself to.

I dont understand why.

Because a lot of them are destructive?

You wouldn't see atheists trying to get rid of a Catholic Charity or whatever but you would see them bashing indoctrinating places like the creationism museum.

You also don't see many atheists going to churches on Christmas with signs

Instead they decide to set them on fire.

My stance is this: anyone who tries to stuff their ideals down my throat, or look down on me for my beliefs need to re-evaluate themselves. Either side can be just as bad as the other.

There's this older Christian guy who sometimes yells about GOD and how THE FAGS ARE GOING TO HELL in front of my campus library, and there was this atheist guy yelling back at him last time. They were both being unbelievably juvenile. It's surreal, like seeing an Internet argument in real life.

i think that the reason why a lot of people intensely argue about that stuff tends to be due to this facts:

neither of them have valid proves of their statements

or

they're just faggots

furious christians need to be drived with tranquility though. Things can get bad if you say something that isn't in their wave lenght

all it does is show the hypocrisy of the gay-hating religious folk, who should be shunned for their hateful behaviour, talks about how you can't cherry pick good events and leave out the bad ones and call it god's doing, show how all religions have scant and unreliable evidence, show the connection between delusional behaviour to faith in something that goes against reason, and goes against what religious people criticize atheists for; morals

there is nothing in there that says, "wow you don't think the same way I think and you're a complete idiot for it" all it does is show the lack of proof, not like memes should be even taken seriously, either, there is waaay worse theistic actions that go beyond memes, but the point is it can go both ways, but if you're getting riled so much at that site, don't go on it. Plus, why do you waste your time on memes?
