To be honest, I think the popularity of LoL has recently been going up quite a lot.

Well they're both set in medieval/futuristic time thingies. They both have monsters and classes and I assume they're both point and click games right? You click with ur mouse and they attack enemies?

world of warcraft isn't a point and click game at all
warcraft 3 is the point and click RTS game which had a very good modding sene had a mod called dota
league was one of the first dota-clones made to get people to play a newer, free and much more accessible version of dota (albeit now its VERY different - only the core concept is similar)

dota 2 is just the same dota game but newer, free and slightly more accessible than the original mod

they dont really have classes, and dota isnt really medieval at all, there's aliens and s*** too
