The RabbidsXMario crossover weirds me out so much; I mean, the Rabbids have pretty much had pique of popularity back in 2012 or whatever, people barelly even care about them now. Do they hope this crossover that literally nobody wanted or demanded will put them back into the spotlight? Why not just focus on Rayman, who has been making a fantastic comeback anyway.

The sad part is that I feel like Rayman x Mario would probably have gone over really well

"H-hey guys, minions are less popular than usual! We've finally got a chance!" or something along those lines

The "obnoxious little f***" mascot market is all the rage and I've seen that Rabbids show being rerun a lot on Nicktoons when looking through the guide, so it seems like Ubi really wants them to be revived as a successful cash cow

It may sound like a good idea on paper because both are beloved and iconic franchises but honestly I don't see what either franchise has to offer to the other to make a fun, coherent collaboration.



I think it may also be somewhat of a matter of UbiSoft desperatly trying to cling on whatever frachises they have left at this point? Considering that at this point Assassin's Creed is past its pique too and there is little confirmation that Beyond Good&Evil 2 will come to be too. The only things they really have left are Just Dance, Far Cry, Splinter Cell (is that still a thing even) and Rayman, none of which have regular releases, luckily.
