both of those examples contain one party being almost completely oblivious to what's happening

first they'll let gay people marry then they'll let gay people have children and my children will see kids with two dads and they'll think that having two dads is natural and they'll ask why mommy doesn't have a p**** do you want your children to ask you why your wife doesn't have a p****, Nixter? is that really what you want?

But homosexuals do have the exact same rights as everyone else. It's not legal for heterosexuals to have same-sex marriages either, and there's no other real difference in rights except for the idiots who bully homosexuals because of their sexual preference, but that doesn't really fall under "rights". Sorry if this seems offensive, but it just really annoys me when people say that. *holds out a marshmallow on a stick*

i didn't say they didn't have the same rights, i just said that they deserve them regardless of what they what gender they're sexually attracted to. This is irrelevant, though. Heterosexuals can get married to the people that they love, and in most cases, homosexuals cannot. Most religious people that call homosexuality a sin are wrong about the bible in general. All of the s*** in the Old Testament regarding the law was refuted by Jesus later on in the New Testament. He went to the churchy religious pharisees of the time and basically told them they were being stupid and they needed to cut it out. I don't need a cookie for saying something that everyone should understand anyway.

Luke said it well already but here's my 2 cents. Everything he said is still canon btw.
Most "christians" who talk s*** about gay people and it being a sin are the same people who are gonna be on the next season of 16 & Pregnant, so they aren't the best people to listen to. Don't let peer pressure win. They're very selective with what they take from the Bible and if you're gonna be a Christian you're supposed to take it all. My best friend is gay and he goes to church every Sunday and Wednesday I doubt that he's gonna burn in hell. Tbh he's a better Christian than I am. If he goes to hell I'm sure me and most of the people I know are going to be there with him. I know a lot of people who talk s*** that don't even go to church. Same Sex marriage shouldn't even be an issue because you don't have to get one if you don't want one. Its that simple. Its not like the government is forcing you to be gay. If they do then you can be upset and throw the biggest riot ever but until then its none of your business. I'm pretty sure most of the people here are fine with it but I don't doubt there are people out there who still have issues. This isn't about religion or sexual preference, really. Its about equality for all people of all colors and backgrounds. The closer we get to that the better off America will be.

Comparing homosexuality to beastiality and pedophilia. Wonderful. It doesn't matter how they were raised or what their church preaches, it comes down to very basic civil rights among all humans. Being homosexual is not illegal, unlike beastiality or pedophilia, so I don't understand why you would compare them. Certain citizens back in the day were raised to believe in racism and segregation, but them simply growing up in that environment doesn't justify denying a human of a very basic right because their faith or personal preference says for them to live a certain way.

You're missing his point.
Certain people find homosexuality to be just as disgusting as pedophilia or bestiality.
He was talking about what those certain people believe, not what he believes himself.

To be honest I think homosexuality is gross, but that doesn't mean it shouldn't be allowed nor should people be made fun of it.
Homosexuality is nowhere near beastiality, pedophilia ect ect

I don't get why some users are so against healthy debate. It's not negative, it's just a discussion with varying points of view. @Kyuubit Ah, I see. Alright then.

IMO, the only way to get equality is for the world to change it's views on homosexuals. In certain states gays can get married, but in some countries they will get executed. Even if gay marriage is legalized in every state, it won't be legalized everywhere else. I know that people may be rejoicing over this news, but 13/50 states isn't enough to be happy. One of my problems with this movement is the fact that some are only fighting for equality in America, and that isn't enough for gays to be accepted in other places. It was the same thing with women's rights. Even though women are relatively equal in america (some inequality still exist), in other countries women have no rights.
I may seem pessimistic, but I don't like people saying "we're fighting for equality", when they really aren't. Honestly, it will probably take another century for equality to exist, and even then it may not happen. I'm not trying to sound like a douche, but i'm just giving my honest thoughts.

It's just starting small, really. It'd be very difficult for them to achieve it in many places around the world, because the fact that it's very difficult for them to do it even in their own country. Also, look at New Zealand. They legalized gay marriage and that will spread even further to the Oceanic islands around it. It's like a domino effect.

it's not equal because gays can't have children of their own bloodwho said that??? things like this take time. let me find that actually relevant quote. "People can change. Even if they don't change right away. Months, years--as time passes, change is inevitable."
