stages that "lag" online aren't making online lag, y'all are just playing on potatoes that can barely handle them offline and online has more background processes going on. one of your computers is lagging not your connection necessarily.

I am not to sure about that. I can play on Yoshi's Island fine online and offline sometimes. Sometimes it will lag online when I am online and it does for the second player as well. So what your saying is that, when the connection starts lagging, its the opponent who is unable to play on the stage? _________________

What I think he's saying is that stage lag has nothing to do with connection speed but has more to do with computers being a potato. SSF2 is somewhat heavy on computers (although I don't know the recommended specs) and online mode requires background processes added on to what I'm guessing is ssf2.exe. So basically one persons computer is slowing down due to a flash game and you should laugh at them, but you can't count out the connection.
I know a lot of people play the game at school and/or on laptops handed out by the school and I know no school is giving away a thousand plus gaming laptops to a bunch of preteens to teens.

if you play a match on smashville with someone and it's buttery smooth but then you pick fd and it lags the whole match that means one of you has a bad computer.

not much point in recording my games actually as they're either the same lag, or a small difference/not visually noticeable
felt like there was slightly more input lag overall actually

input lag is a hard value which is untouched. are you still experiencing bursts of lag? if so, are they frequent or periodic?
