The main website (Not the forums), has been the same for years, at least 6. I think it really does need a makeover. I don't know much about website making, but I think the same guy who made the Dojo should also remake the main website. Also, the tabs, should include

(Home, Forums, News, Games, Fan Vids, Cartoons, Shop, Affiliates, Contacts, About, Copyright)

The cartoons should be updated at least once a month. (Could be the old ones, then new ones that have to do about Smash Bros)
Shops could be the same
Maybe update affiliates if there are new ones.

I don't know if this is a good idea. It's up to the developers.

(You could update the website one at a time so people could get use to the look, and they could access it while its being updated instead of waiting because of maintence.

I dunno, I think that giving the website an entirely new fresh coat of paint is a lot of work. It might be fun, but at the same time does anyone really think this website needs it?

I think functionality wise, the website is fine. Cleod doesn't really have the time to be making cartoons once a month.

I know, but the website has been the same for a very long time now. The cartoons don't always need to be made by him, it could be made by other fellows of the mcleodgaming forums, I don't know. Whenever people go on the site, they only check the home page. But if it is updated, more people might check the website, and maybe we could gain some more Smashers.

As for the website itself, it's fine as is. It's simple and it loads quickly. Doesn't need to be changed. ZI does cute little holiday skin changes if i recall correctly as well, anyway. That's more than enough.

Also, SSF2 gains popularity via websites like facebook and youtube anyway, and traction will be gained as the game nears completion as well. I dunno if you've ever been around the forums near an update, but it gets freakin' flooded with new users and people that want to download the demo.
In the end it's up to the administrators but I don't think any of the things you brought up are necessary.

I don't think a website makeover is very important. It's a big time-sink, for not much benefit.
If you aren't familiar with web design, or user interface coding in general, it isn't something you throw together overnight.

Plus, The front site:
-is functional
-loads quickly
-displays all necessary content
-doesn't burn the eyes

So what if it's been the same for 6 years? It's age doesn't make it in need of a redo.
Now, If because of it's age, certain browsers stopped supporting code that it used, a rework of the site would be necessary. Alas, this is not the case.
There should be no hurry for any redesigns.
Let's not cripple all of Cleod's time.

As much as I want to give the main site a makeover, it won't be happening any time soon. However that doesn't mean I'm completely declining it! The site has been getting a little stale and an update is long overdo. So one day, don't be surprised if we return to this subject
