Rin is most likely dead. Kakashi said "I couldnt even protect Rin".

I myself know it. I'm legally blind in my right eye. 20/200+ = Legally blind. You can still see, but you've got no clarity at all. You can still make out figures and s***, but you can't see all of the smaller details.

Next chapter has been translated. And obviously Naruto and Sasuke go into a Rasengan/Chidori clash -> conversation. Apparently Naruto still doesn't plan on killing him...
Lucky for all the Sasuke fangirls, Karin gave up lol.
Also, a friend an I just thought of this after school yesterday. Kakashi said he failed to protect Rin, this doesn't mean she's dead, she could have just been captured and they never managed to meet again. Call me stupid but what is the possibility of Rin being Karin? Obviously she looks different enough for Kakashi not to notice and Karin hasn't really noticed anyone other that Sakura at the moment. Just a theory though, I thought it was interesting how the names clashed.
