if by "we have a Roy" you mean "we have a Marth clone" then yeah but they're different Marth clones.
i'm not arguing for (or even against) Roy, but saying Lucina = Roy in terms of how they work is wrong

I was talking about Roy Koopa, but I see where I could've been misunderstood.
I'm well aware they work differently, Roy has a sweetspot at the blade centre/hilt and Lucina has no sweetspot. Lucina meteors with her Dair at the tip, Roy has to be practically inside his opponent to do so, as the meteor hitbox is at the sword hilt.

I hate Roy. The only people who want him back are the ones who only played Melee and never actually played his game. If Lucina wasn't in the game I'd understand why people would want him, but as things are? No.

If they add another Fire Emblem character, it need to be someone without a sword. Hector, Ephraim, hell, one of the mounted units. That'd a really neat and unique character.

As for Ryu, I'm not asking for him to be added but I won't mind if he is. Many people (myself included) have fond memories of playing Street Fighter II and Alpha 2 on the SNES. He honestly deserves to be in the game more than Pac-Man does when it comes to being Nintendo-related.

He's usually a pretty boring character, but I think it'd be interesting to see his moveset in Smash Bros. compared to how it is in real different fighting games.

There's people I want in much more than him, but I definitely won't be complaining if he is added.
