As you no doubt already know, Beta is packed with new music. What do you think of it?

Of the new tracks, my favorites are Bowser's Rampage, Skyloft, Wind, and Size of the Moon. The first two are incredible and very original variations on themes that bring them to a whole new level, while the second two are just really beautiful and fitting for the gorgeous stage that they play on.

On the other hand, there's Live and Learn, which is inferior to the original track in every way in my opinion...

ToS Melody and Fatalize have been my favorites since i first heard it on the smashcon stream. And i REALLY like the new menu them it feels so...refreshing. As if there is hope shining through a hard fought battle

Chaos Shrine is probably my favorite song so far. It's just so good!

Beta's music temporarily cures my depression.

Is there some way to add *more* music to the game's selection? I want to dump a bunch of Tales of Symphonia music in.

Is Beat the Angel still on Tower of Salvation?

Could we get a list of all of the alternate songs? I'm not sure some stages even have alt songs, but it would be nice to be sure. Kind of wish there was a sound test.
(Like, I've never heard Skyloft even though it's mentioned)

Pretty sure Beat the Angel isn't on it anymore? Just 2 songs per stage (unless I'm wrong), and that stage has ToS Medley and Fatalize.

Nope, I think Beat the Angel got replaced by the ToS medley and Fatalize since those two are the only ones that show up on the stage.

I think that Beta's soundtrack overall suffers from too much "fixing what isn't broken". ToS is a small part of that, where the new songs, while pretty okay on their own, completely replace a beloved older song. But the bigger issue I have is that a number of songs sound like are MIDI remixes of songs that were often originally made with a higher level of budget and technology. Sometimes this works okay, especially if it's a technological improvement (Proof of Blood, FF1 Battle), but other times...it doesn't (DBZ Opening, Live and Learn).

The best songs in the game are ones like Bowser's Rampage, Skyloft, Chaos Shrine, and Bramble Blast, that actually do something with the original song, instead of just converting it to a worse format.

I love the new music (mostly the vs master hand one).

I do wish the old Dracula music came back too tho .

The only problem I see is that I can't play the music on any other stages, like for vs master hand, i'd have to play classic mode just to listen and fight at same time.
