Recently, when I was training, I decided to test the assist trophy and Pokéballs and just realizing that there is not many Pokemon or "assistants". I speculate new:

White Mage (Final Fantasy) assist trophy: could cure the character briefly
Sasuke (Naruto) assist trophy: he could appear and use Amaterasu, leaving opinentes burning and immobilized
Vegeta (Dragon Ball) assist trophy: in it we can see, a wide variety of strokes, but it would be interesting to see, he would be using one of their attacks signatures, galactic gun. He would appear and would climb on top of the stage and let go the verticamente blow. Deoxys similar to, but vertically
Birdo (Mario) assist trophy: loose eggs (seriously?) Around the stage
Talonflame Pokeball: Brave Birds, Birds Brave everywhere
Scizor Pokeball: bullet punch, one hit kill :v
Cresselia: boot all around her to sleep

It's stage based on skill, not luck. Also, it's the perfect stage to play without interruptions. No Hazards, No Camping. All you have is your skill.
That's the reason why I think Omega Mode would work better than Alpha Mode.
It may give advantage to more experienced players, but at least it's way more fair than most of the Game's Stages.

Not if you're a character without a strong chaingrabbing game, such as Yoshi or Kirby. Or if you're a fastfaller who takes way more damage from chaingrabs than the average character, such as Fox or Ichigo.

There's a reason Omega mode is so damn controversial.

EDIT: My browser bugged like hell and sent me to the wrong page, and I thought this post was way more current than it really is. Whoops.

I will just add one more thing about why Omega Mode would work better than Alpha Mode:
Dream Land and Yoshi's Story.

I'm not arguing for an Alpha mode or even against an Omega mode. I'm just saying that if Omega mode was implemented, it wouldn't be for competitive reasons.

The most neutral stage in the series is often stated to be either Smashville or Pokémon Stadium M/Hazardless (Pokémon Stadium 3/Coliseum). Those are less polarizing because they allow both open-air play, which Battlefield restricts, and platform-based play, which FD restricts, allowing characters who specialize in either to shine.

Speaking about Battlefield:
Considering the "controversial" Battlefield and Final Destination's Desgin in the game, I think more fans would be pleased if you could be able to swap between the versions of Battlefield and Final Destination (Melee and Brawl's, I'm not including Smash 4's because both BF and FD are too similar to Brawl's)

1. I haven't heard any criticism at all about this Battlefield/FD.

2. Not possible. The different Battlefields/FDs have differently-shaped ledges and undersides, which does subtly affect things. (Brawl FD in particular was notorious due to its ledge collisions being rather weird.)

A lot of people on the Twitch chat were complaining about FD(haven't seen anyone talk about Battlefield though). I think it would be cool if they put the old FD in the past stage section, it can be renamed "SSBB Final Destination".

Also I think that (if not already) that Battlefield and Final Destination should have the McLeodgaming logo instead of the SSB logo since both if them are almost completely original stages.

1.I have no problem with Battlefield's design and final destination design and music. Thats the thing with Original. You get used it.
2. Idk know exactly if we should have a mcleodgaming logo for original BF and FD. BF and FD are original as long as they have never before seen backgrounds and textures(original).

Final Destination looks pretty good.
The only downside is that it barely resembles the other Final Destinations. It seems more like a Dragon Ball GT stage.
Btw, Blade, Blue, Azrael and Spikeman were all original, but that didn't mean we had to tolerate them.

1. We really haven't see much gameplay for the new FD yet so.......
2. I think mcleodgaming took them out because orginal characters don't seem like they fit a smash bros game. There just made up characters.

I didn't say you had a problem with FD I said I've seen others who have a problem with it. I like the new FD but I'd still like to see the old one in past stages. That's just my opinion.

I honestly never actually thought about it, I'm saying that I like the new one but would like to see the old one as well. The devs took time to sprite the old one as well didn't they? I just want both, I enjoyed playing on Brawls FD.

The melee one evolved into brawls, then brawls evolved into wii u's FD. You get use to it after awhile. Even for SSF2.

Yes, but the SSF2 FD looks nothing like the old ones, and looks more like the FD form of a stage. The only thing theses stages have in common is size and shape, it doesn't even look close to any FD(again I'm not complaining I like the new FD). Even saying the stage has evolved into this one is kinda weird, that's like saying(using this as an example) Jynx evolves into Raquayza, they don't even have the same type let alone any visual similarities.
