I just can't believe that an officer of the law would be so EVIL. They're all trained to know what is and is not a weapon and they weren't even there to find the kid. In a country where nearly everyone and their grandma has access to a gun, I wouldn't say that the officer's fears were entirely misguided. However, her actions of choosing to shoot first, questions later, were very unprofessional.

well, if it was a black wiimote controler in a black wiimote gun prop... it COULD, to some extent, have been confused... if it were an airsoft weapon it would at least be acceptable. i mean, imagine i am training my aim in my backyard with my full equipment, and the cops ring in my door. well, i obviously go open it.

No it couldn't. In case you didn't know, the vast majority of TV remotes are either black or a very dark shade of gray. There is absolutely, positively, most assuredly no justifying what that scumbag officer did nor the fact that her department is now trying to cover it up. The entire thing is just utterly atrocious. Yet another example of police officers abusing their power. And by the way, there was nothing attached to the wiimote. We don't even know if it was black (and it most likely wasn't). _________________ |

When I heard this story almost every politic-heavy friend I had spammed links about how in China when stuff like this happens the cop is fined, and then put to death.
Or something like that. I've always been wary of police, but this kinda puts them in the red. Shooting so quickly like that was a very irresponsible choice.
