There's no sure chance yet. SSB4 is still plenty early in development. I'm pretty sure you remember how many last-second decisions there were in Brawl.

I was referring to Brawl.

Whoops, my bad. I sorta assumed that you were talking about SSB4.

I didn't mention Toon Link because I believe he will return or will be changed back to Young Link.

Even though I hate the moveset copying. It really makes no sense to have moveset copycats if everyone has the chance to choose the same flippin' character.

As similar as their movesets are, I will say that they play quite differently. Toon Link feels more unrealistic and the jumping is much higher, and everything seems to flow slower, but longer.

That's cause Toon Link's a badass mofo and they should keep him in the next one.

Well if you're going to make that argument, let's go back to the cuts made for Brawl's release, Pikachu vs. Pichu, to be exact. Pichu played much differently. He was speed over power, technique over ability. Pichu jumps higher than Pikachu, has less knockback (however deals more damage), and has a very low defense compared to his doppleganger character. Also, the most obvious, Pichu hurts himself when doling out electrical attacks (this was stupid).

Okay, so he's not an iconic character. I guess you got me there. Still, he got replaced by some pretty lousy characters. Come on, R.O.B. does NOT deserve to be in Brawl.

EDIT: R.O.B. may have a more original moveset, but just the fact that his name translates to Robot is pretty lame.

The Japanese aren't known for their naming creativity.
Besides, this is Nintendo we're talking about. Their decisions are more or less unpredictable. Toon Link may or may not be in SSB4, that's all up to the game's company.

True, we ARE arguing the most variable of matters. What do you think the gameplay will be like? More like Brawl or Melee? I hope it's more like Melee, tripping was stupid.

Tripping was the worst idea ever made.
I liked footstooling though, unless it was off stage and I was trying to recover.

I know the reason for tripping. To make it more realistic. Do you know how long I laughed when I heard that!? Making it more realistic... Because Nintendo is all about rational standpoints. I agree, footstooling was a good idea, although they have to make it more accurate or just delete it all together. Footstooling was near impossible unless the target was COMPLETELY stationary. At least, for me anyways.

I've been footstooled while trying to recover.
If you're far from the ledge and used your second jump already, you'd better hope you've got someone with extra jumps and/or a good vertical recovery.
