They've actually said it won't be very linear and that there'll be various multiple routes throughout each level, some you discover by adventuring and some you'll only be able to access with special items like Wisps.

Although I think it's likely that they won't be playable in the story mode themselves, since the gameplay design seems to be designed around Sonic's abilities. If anything maybe there will be 1 or 2 special levels featuring Knuckles and Tails, or a specific multiplayer mode.

those were fun

Multiplayer Sonic racing is usually pretty neat. I mean Sonic R is pretty rough around the edges but when I was 8 I had a hell lot of fun playing that with my friends (same with the Sonic Heroes multiplayer games).

I kinda hope they can pull of more of a cooperative multiplayer as well though, it would be neat to have Donkey Kong Country Returns-ish levels where players can work together using Tails' flying ability or Knuckles' strenght to advance, for example (in the case of Donkey Kong Country Returns, I'm reffering to Diddy's jetpack carry mechanic, as well as the continous rolling he could pull off.)

Sonic heroes was the first and best sonic game ive ever played Team dark was cool and so was their team blast

Sonic 06 was the worst game ever created and thank god that everything in the game never actualy happened... including sonic meeting Princess elise. But the music was awesome!

Anyway sonic tails amy & knux have anappearance in the game and they all team up with eggman to beat the deadly six. Parkour is included in the game.
