I'm bored, who needs a duffing over? Subject to my terms of course but otherwise, first come first serve.

((That makes five of you! Good good. Ready for some FFA?))

Interstate 76, the flattest and fastest strip of highway anyone would ever have driven. Still, it had remained unused for a while, ever since the cops started clamping down on the speeders. That didn't dissuade Thaiberium. It was because he was sitting a red '69 Dodge Charger, the engine idle. Looking far ahead into the distance, there was only a dusty tarmac baking in the heat. He didn't like waiting. The agreed time and place for the race was now and he hoped they would show up. Thumbing the nitrous oxide button idly he recalled the plan which was to zoom down and hit the I-13 before heading south until they reached the docks of Rockport, where the winner will be given a pinkslip from the losers. Nothing else but pure racing skill and that was what made him smile.

He was tempted to use the radio but Thaiberium had it tuned to the police band, in case of emergencies. Wanted for numerous traffic offences, that fact only served to increase his rep. In the distance now, he could hear faint rumblings.

"It's about damn time," he muttered to himself as his chin still rested on the steering wheel.

And suddenly, finals don't seem all that bad.

((If you want to race on foot, that's your choice. Of course you need some kind of widely available transportation that has not exceeded contemporary technological bounds.

@Dragon Fang: Does this look like a fight to you?))

IC: Menich flew up Interstate 76 on his bike. He bought it a 2007 Yamaha YZF-R1, but it could hardly be called that anymore. He had made for and given the bike a new chassis, its features sharp and aerodynamic. It was good work, in his opinion, giving the bike a slightly futuristic appearance. He had recently painted it as well, just for the impending occasion. The design he had chosen was a simple one: intertwining silver strikes on a black background. What appealed to him as most ironic was that he wasn't truly setting out with the intention of entering a race. He was on yet another undercover mission, the objective to capture a known lawbreaker. Thaiberium was his name. But then, he never had been the obedient one. He just couldn't resist the prospect of racing with one of the most well-known speeders in the area. It was a hot day, and in the distance, a shimmering figure came into view. This man was certainly intimidating, and the distorting effects of the heat made his aura ethereal. It was a striking combination. So this was the man he had been sent to capture. As Menich reached the position of the man, he noticed that, besides Thaiberium himself, he was the first one here. His bike skidded to a halt, the back wheel swerving forward due to inertia. He set the kickstand and hopped off, extending his hand to Thaiberium with a sinister grin on his face.
"The name's Menich." He stated brusquely.

"So you're Menich huh? I know the cops got you, but why you're still cruising around is suspicious. Nevertheless, a race is a race."

At that time the police radio band came up with something interesting.

"Units be advised, we have reported sightings of a red Dodge Charger parked in the middle and a bike. Suspects are not moving, anyone free please head up that way."

"Roger that, I have visual."

The sirens started up. Thaiberium only looked suspiciously at Menich. No matter, all bets were off now. He slipped into third right away and put the pedal down. An elaborate smoke show wouldn't fool anyone. As the patrol car approached, he finally let go of the brakes and did a spun around the officer while taunting with a most rude gesture. He got his kicks from pissing them off. A chase, just the thing needed to spice up this boring race. Not far away not, he could see two more patrol cars making a roadblock. There were spike strips. He swore, he didn't like scratching paint. He aimed for their rear ends and braced for impact. He really should put seatbelts in the car the next time he had a chance he thought to himself.
