So I've been lurking this site for the past 2-3 years, playing Smash Flash, reading peoples' opinions and discussions, and slowly improving at the game. Recently, I decided that I was going to become active on a bunch of sites, and this is one of them. So hello everyone, I'm Camden.
I've been involved with Smash from the very beginning, and to this day still enjoy the series very much. Unfortunately, I can't play Brawl/Melee as of now because my Wii won't read discs, however, I have hacked my Wii to allow games to be run again, but I just need a compatible external hard drive or thumb drive. I can still play 64 though, so that's okay. I main Dedede/Kirby in Brawl, whoever I feel like in Melee (I'm not that good with Melee), and I main Link in 64.
Before I continue with Smash Flash, I'll also let you guys know that I play some other games, too. I play Yugioh (via Dueling Network), and also Pokemon (via Pokemon Online). I'm also a huuuuuuuuge Cave Story fan. Oh, and I like the Ace Attorney games, too.
Now, in Smash Flash 2, I am a Lloyd and Sonic main. No, I do not play Tales games, and I'm not a big fan of the Sonic games. I use these characters because I enjoy their combos, and how they feel in general. That being said, I have a bad Goku.*insert mockery here* My biggest weakness in Smash Flash right now is the fact that I am restricted to using a keyboard to play because I don't have a controller to use. Also, because of the days where I would play SSB64 via keyboard (Oh, the Project64 days of high school) I didn't find it odd to use a keyboard now, and I'm very used to it. I just can't pull off some techniques I wish I could use (Demon Fang spam comes to mind).
I no longer have any friends to play this with, which suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuucks. I'm forced to playing CPUs now, except for the occasional time my brother is available, and I can remember where the second keyboard is. xP The day this game gets online (if it does at all) will be the best day in the world. If it does get it, let's hope the netcode is decent (cuz I'd donate for lagless fights online).
One last thing. I am a big fan of Zalo and his videos. Zalo, if by some miracle you read this, I just wanna let you know that your replays against Zapskam, your combo videos, and other contributions to the game as a dev and a player are really cool. Props to you for your hard work. Also, you're mad good at this game, so respect there, too.
So, with all of that out of the way, I hope I can get to know some of you and have a great time on the forum! Woo!

Salamat pagi!
Welcome to the fora. You'll see that, outside its' dedicated sections, SSF2 doesn't run very deep and some might even scorn your passion- don't mind it, though, and don't worry about any social stigma that might be derived from it. You'll see that most of us are pretty friendly if you give things some time!
Oh, oh, oh. You seem a personable person! You should try and join us bunch in Spam- despite our perpetual state of inner turmoil, we're really the best intellectual facet-as hard as it is to say without laughing-- you're gonna find here. I'd love it if you gave it a shot!
That's about all I've got to say. Enjoy your stay~
e: Oh. Oh oh. Cave Story for life.

That was the most interesting response I've ever seen to one of my intro topics on a forum ever. Thank you for that. I feel welcome already. Also, when I saw your Curly avi, I actually screamed, as if I was surprised by it, or something. Don't know why, but I did.

Salut, fellow longtime lurker.
I'm sure you'll be accepted into Spam without hesitation, though there really hasn't been much intelligent conversation lately. Most of the topics in there involve outcomes of League of Legends sessions and b**** about other members and famous people.

Hey there.
Remember that there is more to this site then SSF2. Also, if you want to get into Spam, don't fail like I did.

Somehow, though, everything you described is executed better than most other discussion on the fora. Do we just do so with quality in mind, or are the standards sub-par everywhere else? It is a mystery. It's the suggestive eyebrow waggling. It affects everybody differently- apparently in your case it was fear for the mortal coil?? Another mystery never to be solved.

Camden, I'm sure you'll be disappointed to find that the SSF2 discussion board is little more than unpleasant ramblings of why Vegeta shouldn't have been cut from the game. Granted, there seems to be a recent wave of decent conversation in there, but it's outnumbered by the daily "SILVER THE HEDGEHOG FOR SSF2!!11 "

That is irrelevant to welcoming the new dude! But I will sate your curiosity regardless, because it is a cool thing.
I am a full-blooded American patriot; I just love weird, foreign sayings, and try to employ them whenever opportunity strikes! It is more fun that way. Fun things are fun.

Wow, thank you everyone. I wasn't expecting such a warm welcome.
You know, it might be good that this site seems to be more so general/gaming discussion than just SSF2, because my home site is on a sharp decline in activity, and I do more work for the site than any of the staff right now, so lol.
So, if I want access into the Spam boards, I have to PM Blue about it. Ok, that doesn't seem like much of a problem. He wants me to make him laugh...perhaps if I pull off the innocent-oblivious member act, he might laugh out of pity.

It's more or less a test to see whether or not you can think intelligently enough so you won't abuse the privilege. I wouldn't worry too much about the humor part.
