i also hate people who hate avatar just because it's all special effects, apparently james cameron is a retarded s*** who cant make movies despite avatar being that popular, i couldn't give half a s*** if the story sucked, why do i wanna hurt my head thinking about themes and bullcrap?
he appeals to ignorant people and that's exactly how almost all companies thrive, you have to be a smart dick to make a bad movie rake in that much money

oh yeah and i doubt anyone who talks s*** about avatar has seen pocahontas, because i haven't
unless you're talking about that disney movie, then you're just a dumbass because it's a goddamn animation

But Disney Pocahontas was epic! She could 'paint with all the colours of the wind' and wondered what was waiting 'just around the riverbend'.
Not only was of 'copper skin' she was a strong female lead who did not accept the sexist society in which she lived.

I watched Avatar before. Probably one of the gayest movies I've ever seen IMO. I'd actually pay to get it removed from the theaters.

As I believe is the StrongBadian term, "·V·"! It was bad enough the first time. Why do they have to frickin' do it again. That suckquake of a movie was a watenado of my seven bucksonsoon.

You don't know how long I've been waiting for a chance to say that.

It has amazing graphics, but the storyline practically copies every single Hindi movie, starring Sharrukh Khan, with the minor additions of odd animals.

I hated Pocahontas and it dull storyline and artwork.(Did they even try?) But I loved Avatar cause of Its creativity.

It's party based on a story ya know.
Also the artwork was colorful for the style they were going for. Lots of earthy tones going on in that movie, fit very well with the fact that it was New England with it's s*** weather.

Creativity in Avatar? puh-lease

First of all, the Na'vi or whatever they're called could only be three colours as they were a personification of nature.
Hm, let's see, brown looks gross but represents the earth, green makes them blend in with the lush forest too much. Oh I know! Make em blue, that's totally not been done before but represents sky and water. Could you imagine a pink Na'vi? No I didn't think so, because it'd then be unnatural.

As for the antagonists? Oh, let's make em human and totally alienate them with big clunky machinery. That's totally not been done before.

So basically, it's a pimped up history story about the Natives vs The Foreigners. Some story that is, at least Pocahontas was partly real.

What's creative aobut a bunch of blue people trying not to get killed by humans? Smurfs did that, like, 20 years ago.

52 years ago, actually.

Ironically, one inept wizard got closer to victory than the army did in Avatar.
