I decided to post my work to Idenify the problem. I still have the skeleton that started it off, but I won't post it until the whole sprite is complete, or unless I have to.

There's a few problems that I already see like the legs.

Men don't posses slim waists. You should probably straighten that out. You can also make the upper body a bit wider to pronounce the muscles.

Widen the left side of the body a bit, with a curving diagonal angle.
Fix up the waist. You made it too slim
Last but not least, add more to the middle from the left leg. You made his lower section too tight so you need to add more to that

I would say that I'm getting somewhere, but there's still a few problem.

Fix the shoulders and the neck

Quick Update: Added a WIP sprite of Blaze the Cat.

Added an improved outline for Blaze.

Wasn't I working on blaze? I got to find time to work on it but I already have a whole sheet full of animations so I must have gotten bored. Where is the sprite anyways?

It's more of an outline. It's on Page 1. I'm making my own base sprite cause I'm making her as an expansion. I'm also going to post the completed product on dA.

Using a sprite of Blaze the Cat to make a sprite about Blaze the Cat.. Yeah, well let me explain it in terms of spriting:

Regardless of whether its custom or not: Using a sprite of the same subject to make a sprite of the same subject is stand-out "Plagiarism".. Using someone's work of the same property for you to claim the credit. It doesn't matter how much effort you put into it, you can't go using Blaze the cat sprites to make Blaze the cat sprites.

This is why spriters use references instead!

Not a sprite but basically a picture:

Spriters uses pictures instead of sprite because of originality. If they're trying to make it in Sonic Battle Style, they'll use a character from that style so their sprite can relate to them. You used a sonic sprite to match the style so thats ok but you used a Blaze sprite to make your own Blaze sprite. Thats wrong

If anything, you should give credit to the originator of that Blaze sprite if you plan to complete and publish your Blaze sprite, regardless of which company or person it is.. Cause if you're claiming the credit all for your own... You're basically stealing.. Or in other words... Plagiarism

I actually didn't use that sprite. I used a screenshot from the game. I just put that there for height comparison. I did, however, somewhat copied the hair, but was going to give credit for that. I apologize, though, becase I did not know that.
