True. I agree. A lot of people are going on a tangent that Roy is broken but he really isn't. He is the opposite of Marth where his concentrated power is at the base.

it isn't one. indirect nerfs are still nerfs. Dorf and Puff got destroyed from Melee to Brawl due to engine changes Also neutral B doesn't have a hitbox on the sword anymore, only the explosion again the mentioned nerfed range |

he has a lot of range nerfs (they aren't anything huge imo), his down tilt isn't really a combo move anymore, his dash attack is slightly slower, his down smash deals less damage, forward air hits on frame 9 instead of 5 and 7, new down air has a longer startup and less reach, down throw does slightly less damage (lol a whole 1%, but that adds up), blazer gains slightly less distance, counter is slower, and counter's damage is also reduced.
you can buff a character overall but they can still have some nerfs. like sheik, who is amazing now but she still had some tiny nerfs |
