Saw an '09 thread about this, but for the sake of not necroposting, I decided it might be a better idea to create a new thread.

The FMA manga is already finished at this point, and the anime only has 3 more (Japanese) episodes left until its conclusion. I'm honestly pretty psyched, as I can't wait to see how the show wraps things up.

Should be interesting, so break out your Pocky and Ramune and discuss what's about to go down here.

For some bizarre reason, though, a lot of people I know prefer the dub.

Dub is at like, episode 18 or so, isn't it?

That's right. Really dislike Ling's voice and Al's voice, though I still think it trumps most other anime dubs by miles. Vic does a fantastic Ed, that's for sure.

At any rate, are you still keeping up on the recent episodes? The part where Father opened Amestris' gate and pulled Truth down from the heavens to make him a part of himself was incredible.

Hellsing Dub>Hellsing Sub mmkay?

And that's only because Hellsing was practically MADE for English voices.

I read the manga, but yeah, I follow the anime, they've really come a long way in terms of animation in the last year, and so far, it's all been amazing. I'm surprised they managed to follow the manga so closely.

I've watched every new episode since like, episode 10. I read the manga for a bit, but I decided to just watch the anime. But like, the timing couldn't have been any better, the manga finished like, a week ago or something. But hell, brotherhood is so much better than the original anime..

Anyway, I'm heaps psyched for the end of it, albeit a little upset that it ended

I wonder how they're gonna handle animating the last chapter. Because it's 112 pages long...

Maybe it'll be a 2-3 part episode?

They're at the last chapter, and there's pretty much a nice line on which they could divide the chapter so they can make two episodes of it.

I stopped following Brotherhood since the first 14 episodes as they rushed the plot far too much. I'm presuming the pacing has gotten better? While I've already read the manga I'm looking forward to seeing them animated hopefully done right.

Once they caught up to the splitting point where the first anime started to entirely divert itself, the flow did become a lot smoother, but still a lot faster than most manga-based animes that I've seen. Which is a good thing, because it means that no episode really stands out as being entirely uneventful.

Maybe because the manga was never finished in 2003 when the first anime was released. You can't expect an anime to follow something that wasn't even complete at its time, although I am impressed with brotherhood.
