What I like to do with Ness is to PK-Fire my opponent, and during the time where they're on fire, spam side smash with C-Stick, then use C-stick for up smash, and juggle with U -airs and N-airs and finish it off with a PK thunder at them
Got a naruto from 0 to 54% with just the fire and side smashes, and once the combo was completely done I had him at like 110%, and K.O.'d him not long after

That's irrelevant, making PSI Magnet a shine would improve its utility. And don't tell me "look at 0.8 Ness", as to why they shouldn't do it; the balancing team could make it balanced.

I was just about to say they should just make Psi Magnet a Shine. What would it hurt? It definitely wouldn't be broken and Ness could definitely benefit from it. All they would have to do is trade the projectile heal for a reflector and hitbox.

I wasn't planing on it, heck my main was Mario in that demo lol. I didn't even know what a tier list was back then. What I will tell, is that it's basically an almost useless technique. It could be used for a quick heal, but without the damaging hitbox it has in PM, it's nothing more than that. Plus, it's retarded looking when Ness does it multiple times in a row

Well I mean we did it first, but we decided it was too silly so we removed the hitbox and allowed the movement techs to continue existing.

That's like saying Fox shouldn't have Shine-Cancel because "this isn't Melee," when it's the main basis that gives him a vibrant combo game. Exactly. It wasn't silly. It added interesting options to Ness' combo potential. It was just gotten rid of when it really should've of just been nerfed. The original version in v0.8 didn't have knockback scaling when it should have.

thing is, with DJC ness already has really crazy movement options so having even more movement along with an easy-combo hitbox is not really good for balance. ness is already a really strong character, especially pressure-wise thanks to DJC dair sourspots and PK fire detonating on shield. he has a move that essentially walls foes out (fair) and lots of really high damage combos. he has a potent projectile that leads to one of the strongest KO moves in the game, and a slower one for easy-mode edgeguarding against slower opponents.
why would we give him a falco shine in ADDITION to all of that?

Did we say it have to be a Falco shine? You could make it like Wolf's shine in PM, or even Fox's shine.

Haha this is exactly what I was going to say but then you posted lol. And if frame one is too good to throw around, it doesn't have to be a frame 1 hitbox. It could also be slower to jump out of. I think Fox's shine trajectory (horizontal) would be better for Ness.

Lol. Was going to say the same thing. There's several options to make the move balance. You could give it high-power with minimal knockback scaling, with a hitting angle of 45 degrees; would force Ness to always sacrifice his double-jump for a follow-up. Or make give it little power, but high-KBC so he only gets follow-ups at low to mid percents, but gets zilch any higher than that. There's many things you could do to improve the move. It's just a matter of which is beneficial to his playstyle, but is also balanced.
And people forget, unlike Fox's Shine, Falco's actually has knockback-scaling. v0.8 Ness didn't scale at all, and it still had the wind-hitbox. Lol.

probably PK flash. seriously, that thing is SO OVERPOWERED, when used against recovery. amazing reach, gigantic hitbox, kills at 60% anywhere...

For that one I was referring to PK Thunder, the slower projectile I described is PK Flash.
