READ THIS FIRST
I figured that we need more MU charts out there, so, I decided to start a Kirby a MU chart.
Because I am no where near pro, this MU chart might suck... And I don't mean Inhale. So, because of that, this will be an "interactive" MU chart as discussion from you guys will be key in it actually making sense, without further ado:


:kirby: MU CHART

*Left Side represents Kirby*
Explanations might be added later

Horrible MUs (If Kirby has less than 30):

:metaknight: 30-70

:marth: 30-70

:zelda: 30-70

:donkeykong: 30-70

:bomberman: 30-70 (Joey's Rating)

:zerosuitsamus: 30-70, possibly a very tiny bit less

Bad MUs (31-49):

:fox: 35-65

:lloyd: 35-65

:pikachu: 35-65

:blackmage: 40-60

:ness: 40-60 (Joey/Appley's Rating)

:peach: 40-60

Even MUs (49, 50, 51):

:kirby: 50-50
Well duh

:mario: 50-50

Good MUs (52-69):


:samus: 55-45

:sora: 55-45 (Common/DSwift's Rating)

:yoshi: 55-45

:captainfalcon: 55-45

:sheik: 60-40
Long as heck explanation: show
Both Kirby and Sheik can easily punish each other, but due to Sheik inability to combo Kirby well and Kirby's strong combo game, Kirby can have stronger punishes for Sheik's mistakes. Sheik can control the neutral easier with Needles, making it hard for a Kirby without Sheik's copy ability to approach. Plus, Needles can provide enough hitstun for Sheik to lead into a move, giving her a lot of control. However, if Kirby is able to :inhale: Sheik and get her ability, Kirby can actually do well in the Neutral, with Needles to space and rack up damage, and his many jumps for mixups and movement options. Kirby wins an offtstage battle easily, because if a Kirby is able to take away Sheik's jumps with his great aerials, all Shiek has is a mediocre Up Special that can easily be stopped by a simple ledge grab. But, Sheik possibly do well offstage with her powerful FAir and high jumps. Overall I believe the MU is 65-35 (now I think it's 60-40) to Kirby because he can easily take advantage of Sheik, but if played smart, Sheik sill has a lot of ways to get past all of Kirby's advantages

Not Ranked

Notable Changes: show
:metaknight: from 15-85 to 30-70 because of the fact that any MU can never be 15-85 (from: Slack Members)
:blackmage: From 35-65 to 40-60 because Kirby can ledge guard BM like no tomorrow, but still quite tough (from: Zalozis)
:captainfalcon: From 60-40 to 55-45 because CF can kill Kirby ridiculously early, and a "campy" CF can beat Kirby. (partly from Zalozis and partly me) CF's still shaky as so many people say CF wins and so many people say Kirby wins (I think Kirby wins personally)
:tails: From 70-30 to NFLI because I have realized that 70-30 is RIDICULOUS. The only reason why I thought was the fact that I could do so well vs C0's Tails. Otherwise, I have no idea
:chibirobo: Might change from NFLI to 30-70 because (to put it simply) it's not horrible because I suck vs Chibi! (for the actual reason, see Zalo's first reply) I'm still on edge, however

vs. :metaknight: - I have no idea. No one well skilled uses this character. I don't think Kirby wins, all I know is Bair can out-range much of MK's approaches if timed right.

vs. :blackmage: - Probably closer to 45/55 or 40/60. It's not that bad for Kirby. Neutral is tough and you must be careful with spacing his laggy moves. But he can still go far off-stage to punish Black Mage's recovery.

vs. :zerosuitsamus: - Definitely 30/70. She can play the MU being just as camp heavy as Marth.

vs. :chibirobo: - At least 30/70 and possibly worse. For real, this is probably even worst than Marth. Not only can't you challenge his aerials for their fast and huge range, but you're not safe at mid/far in neutral either because of Lasers and his 1/3 stage length grab. If Chibi camps, Kirby can't get into to punish. He's just too slow.

vs. :donkeykong: - It's definitely close, got to be between 40/60 to 50/50, because of how super hard both characters can punish each other.

vs. :fox: - This is a hard one to judge. On paper, Fox should win because of better tools, mobility, etc. But in-game, Kirby has Dthrow chase, Up-Smash chain into itself & Hammer. Kirby is also one of the few characters that can actually beat out Fox's aerial, so he can't approach without precise spacing to avoid punishment. And Fox can be pushed off-stage easily to ledge-guard him with your multi-jump. And every Fox player says how much they hate playing against Kirbys. I'll take there word for it and say Kirby probably wins because he' is pretty good at neutralizing everything that makes Fox what he is. 55/45 or possibly 60/40.

vs. :captainfalcon: - 40/60, Kirby definitely loses to a Falcon that plays safe neutral and he can kill Kirby ridiculously early. Yolo Falcon Punch is also dumb and un-punishable.

vs. :pikachu: - It's got to be 35/65 or worst. Everything Pikachu has kills Kirby at 60%. Tilts that harasses Kirby in neutral. Mobility that can't be caught. Guaranteed setups into kill off of throws.

vs. :tails: - Explain please.

I'll discuss more later.

I maintain that a patient (read: annoying) Sheik can gain the edge over Kirby. Kirby has no great ways of challenging dash attack, bair, or needles, and Sheik has limited grab combos at low percents which make a big difference.

Very true.
Weird Rebuttal That May be genius or really, really dumb: show
But, that requires that the Sheik player to drastically change their playstyle from all up in your face to an annoying camper. The fact that Kirby forces Sheiks to make such a switch gives major points to him

Not really, the fact that Jiggs forces Fox in melee to play very laser-campy heavy doesn't make it a good mu for Jiggs.
I know jiggs does decent against jiggs however so i can see why kirby has the edge however.
