OOFG: Because randomly adding characters is a BAD idea, it's best to place character meetings fairly far apart.

BIFG: Mario smiled at this comment, and asked Link what he was doing here.

Link said "Well...I was on my way to rescue a princess..." Link explained the whole story to Mario.

"That's-a-funny, I was-a-on-a-my way to one of-a-Princess-a-Peach's parties, it's-a-being-a-held in-a-that-a-castle!" He said, pointing to the castle in the-a-distance.

Link said "Really?...You mind if I come with you?"

"Hmm, i'm-a-sure-a-Princess-a-Peach-a-won't-a-mind, you can-a-come -with-a-me." Said Mario, making a hand motion for Link to follow him.

They were at the front door to the Castle, but it was locked..

Link follows Mario to the castle.

As Mario enters the castle, several fantoads swrm him, all asking for his autograph, when suddenly a large pillar with a smashball symbol on it crashes through the large window in the top. Suddenly, the toads begin to mutate...

Link said "Get down!"

All the toads mutated into Elder Shrooboids and attacked!

Mario ducked as the glass from the window fell around them, secretly charging a superjump.

Link slashed the pillar in half

One Shrooboid jumped at Link, who stabbed the thing, Mario said charging, "NO! They are still toads.. I know it! Hold on.." and Link held onto Mario.

The pillar, after being cut in half, began to seep dark energy. This energy seemed to explode, sending all the toads, Link, and Mario into different directions.

When Mario landed, the explosion was still going on. However, he ducked under a rock at the last second, as the explosion passed overhead. A Goomba was hit directly in front of Mario, and it began to change... It became more like a giant mushroom, as big as a full-sized tree. It began to spew out acid, which ate at the ground around him.
