Anyways, all joking aside, this is the official Item Speculation thread, because why not? Come here and speculate or suggest any sort of item from any video game, the only thing is, suggestions have to be with items that have appeared in at least ONE Nintendo game.

You can also discuss in here Assist Trophies and Pokemon for the game, with the former having to have a character that's appeared in at least one Nintendo console/game. Without further ado, let's speculate and suggest. Have at it guys.

My guess would be the S gun (spread gun) from Contra. It would be a super rare item, due to it's overpowered properties (if you played Contra before, you know what I'm talking about).

Assist Trophy Sheriff from Smash 4.

That guy is scary and accurate.
But who I want as an assist is Liu Kang from Mortal Kombat. Bicycle Kicks and Flying Kicks all day. (He's appeared on several Nintendo consoles too.)

But the Mortal Kombat series isn't really that related to Smash.
I speculate Franklin Badge from SSBB and SSB4
Also speculating the Cloaking Device from Melee

Are the Bleach, Naruto and Dragon Ball series that related to Smash?

So it wouldn't be too farfetched to put in a Mortal Kombat character as an Assist, since those three series have playable representatives. And besides, at least Liu Kang originated from a video game.

I think Mortal Kombat characters would look too awkward in the game because there's hasn't been any traditional sprited version of Mortal Kombat.
But yeah, I think I'm nitchpicking. After all, we ALL know the Devs want to reference such a great and bloody series!

I had the idea of a Papou Fruit from Kingdom Hearts could be an interesting item.



So my idea was it acts like a food item, two parts of the Papou Fruit can spawn, sorta like the Dragoon Pieces and Daybreak Pieces. Also you recover 5%, but when the second part of the Papou Fruit is eaten, a flash appears on screen. With a small emblem based on the one found in the 'Secret Place' on Destiny Islands.



When this emblem appears on screen the two who ate the parts of the Papou Fruit become intertwined for a short duration (10 seconds.) Whenever one or the other is damaged, the other will be damaged.

Alt Idea -
They would be switched like the Manaphy Poke Ball Pokemon from Brawl.

I speculate Senzu Bean since there are no items from the Dragon Ball Z series in SSF2.
It will give you invincibilty for a few time and also heal you to 0%. It will be also hard to find it on stage when it appears
