Mega Man's Final Smash in Sm4sh was good, but I think that with the Final Smash change, I think there should be a regular move set change as well.

Super adapter was basically just Yoshi's final smash, but only related to Megaman 6 and 7, some of the weakest games in the series. Mega Legends is also pretty generic, but does a much better job representing Megaman as a whole.





As for a Megaman moveset rework, the only glaring problem I see is one that came from Megaman's official Smash appearance, and that's using Top Spin as his dash attack. Top Spin in Megaman 3 can only be used in the air, so having it be his neutral air prior to Beta felt natural. Maybe put Top Spin back on nair, and for his dash attack have a kind of dashing shield bash with Protoman's shield, the way Protoman himself uses it. SSF2 Megaman already deviates quite a bit from Smash Megaman, so it's odd that they chose Top Spin to be one of the moves to pull from Smash when it really doesn't make much sense.

For the dash attack, I would’ve done the oil slide (or whatever it’s called) from Mega Man Powered Up. Or maybe impact man’s weapon.
For the Final Smash, I liked the super adaptor since it’s actually from the Mega Man games.
The black hole bomb has never been that big, and only a few of the Mega Men can shoot lasers. If the Mega Man all full charged their megabusters then I would probably like it more.
It’s better than Marvel vs Capcom’s supers.

First, I know that. I was talking about the American release date. Second, that's actually OK for my standards, but in my view, I'd rather change the specials.

But it didn't "first appear in 2003" as you specified. That's like saying Lucas "first appeared" in Brawl.

Let me rephrase that. I was talking about the re-release for the game. (i.e. March 12, 2003, according to the Mega Man Knowledge Base Wiki.)
