http://www.guardian.co.uk/artanddesign/ ... chitectureI'm a bit of an architecture geek, so I like this. This happens to be the kind of contemporary architecture that I really enjoy.

Pretty building... but also probably pretty expensive. This type of buildng may shape the future of cities...assuming we can pay for it.

According to this site, it costs "£113 million (about $170.2 million)". According to another source, another London environmental skyscraper cost €200 million, considerably higher (about $255 million). I'm not sure whether that is expensive for a skyscraper, since it is hard to compare, (one has to consider the costs of ground use alone). Since land prices differ per country, city and area, depending on demand, it is hard to judge for me.

They should plant grass on the roof to complete the package.

Maybe they should cover it all in grass except for some windows, then it will look like a massive Hobbit den. Kind of like this: Yes, I always call it a Hobbit den (it looks more like one from the side). Of course, can such Babylonian practices be condoned?

Hobbits are badass so I approve of making houses more like hobbit dens. In fact, I plan on making my dream house a bunker hidden inside a hill by the shoreline.

It might not be the most practical thing, though. People built artificial mounds here with a purpose, so I suppose you can better build your dream house on an elevation. Unless Thailand is by arcane magick protected from tides.

You speak as if I wouldn't take flooding in to consideration. It is practically a must in Thailand.

I don't know all about the South Asian coastline. The most I know is probably of Bangladesh. http://www.guardian.co.uk/artanddesign/ ... chitectureI feel severely offended with this claim on my architectural tastes. To add to injury, I am quite fond of 'traditional' architecture.
