So yeah 0.9b Sonic has more direct spin dash techs than SSB4 Sonic. I don't know why I specifically focused on spin dashes, but from what I noticed people didn't use them much anyways (SSF2).

Question: Is it possible to do the turnaround neutral B tech with homing attack and if so, how do you use it competitive wise?

Are you asking if he can do a turnaround neutral B (which all characters are able to do), or is there a tech associated with it?

Yeah you're right but the devs decided to give Super Sonic a moveset because it was more interesting and unique than just flying into things.
And while flying around is what Super Sonic usually does, he also sometimes gets physical like Sonic Chronicles. I feel like this is what people should be reminded about.

btw about PM Sonic:

I can somewhat get why ppl may hate PM Sonic in the playstyle, but in terms of representation and referencing, they actually bring the FIGHTING of Sonic in a FIGHTING game.
Like fr.
Both Sonic Battle and Sonic the Fighters have more than enough stuff to make a Smash moveset for Sonic, that doesn't have to involve him spinning...

Because of both those addons, I think Sonic will be at least semi-viable this time around.

You do know Sonic's official games move set takes some things from Sonic the fighters right?

Like their is only 6 moves of him spinning in Brawl and 5 in Smash 4, its not like its a problem when its one of his main forms of attacks.

His move set being changed doesn't really help him become viable since his move set in v9a was almost the same as v9b, but its the properties of his attacks.

Look at smash 4 Sonic for example.

His nair looks better for comboing which I like. Good for comboing into stuff and I am okay with his PM nair. I see he has his smash 4 down smash which I enjoy seeing.

The fact that Sonic has 6 moves of him in a ball in Brawl and 5 in Sm4sh...

Irks me.

It kinda goes to show that Brawl Sonic was rushed to put him in at the last moment, delaying Brawl..

Like, Homing Attack and Spindash are iconic moves, but there's not much of a need for other moves but something that represents more, like the Instashield/Light Speed Dash (lol LSD for short makes it sound trippy)- anything you can't think of can just be filled in with nearly any of those other moves in Sonic Battle/STF. Moves like dash attack don't need any change because they represent certain inputs such as spinning since the game that started it all.

And yeah, of course I know some moves are inspired from STF. Not much tbh, but yeah.

The only big change to Sm4sh Sonic is them giving him a new D-Smash and some moves getting Sm4sh-ified like uair and dash attack.. I liked the old D-Smash from Brawl-although it's another Spindash.
But when it comes to its replacement, we get a split kick with cruddy range.
Well, at least it gives some personality to him with the new D-Smash. /:|
