Also, someone is a hard critic. Huh, I'm pleasantly surprised, this is the BEST music of gaming after all. *shrug* YouTube Video:
Video game music is interesting, a melody can help establish tone just as well as good dialogue can. As such, this song does a perfect job of setting tone for the chapter, if you've played FE4 you know how perfect this song is. It's desperate, depressing, but has a determination underneath its sad undertones. It makes you feel more connected to the game in a way, granted FE4 is very good in the music department, but hearing this song being reinforces those tones so well simply due to how well done it all is. When Sigurd's family dies, when he says goodbye to his son, when everyone just accepts that they will probably die, it's just so perfect with this music. Part of the song is also used when other characters die in previous chapters, leading to some amazing foreshadowing. It's just so well done at both establishing emotion, character, and so much more. Fire emblem did quite possibly the best job of a song ever. I could explain for hours, but if you rate it for the song itself, feel free, it's still a very well done tune by itself.
