I don't see the problem here. I'm sure if this was another character that was recolored everything would be fine, but since it's a Sonic recolor there's a problem for some reason.... He can have a Sonic recolor if he wants. Why should it matter?

The only purpose it serves is to distinguish myself from the other members of the community. If you wanna call me "purple Sonic with added hair and clothes" than it has served its purpose.

Why, because they always suck, they always get a bad story, and there are too many. Sonic is a bad series (except for the old ones) and all the characters are generic.
